I first purchased one of these Charles Viancin silicone lids at a cooking store. I fell in love with it the first time I used it to boil water for spaghetti. Not only did the water boil in at least 40% less time, but it did not “boil over”. The steam escapes from the little black center to prevent food from boiling over and it also is a clear indication when the liquid in your pan is boiling. The large cover fits a variety of my large pans. In addition to the cooking benefit, the lid is SUPER for covering items you are going to put in the refrigerator. You merely put the lid on the container…no pressing down, no finding the cover that goes with that container, no “burping” out any extra air….you just have a perfect, air tight seal. If your container has a smooth rim, the seal is so tight you can pick up the container with only the lid! The lid is also great in the microwave and oven…it is BPA free so you don’t have to worry about harmful chemicals leaching into your food. I also appreciate that I’m not putting more aluminum foil or plastic wrap into the landfills. I just throw it in the dishwasher to clean; it doesn’t stain like some plastics due which I really like. I immediately purchased the large rectangle lid and Lilypad gift set for myself (for my smaller pans). I also bought the large lids for all three of my children for Christmas and another 10 x 13 rectangle for a friend. In addition to their high functionality, the designs are really cute. I have since got rid of a number of lids for my pots and pans (they are impossible to keep neatly organized anyhow) and just use my Charles Viancin lids. What a useful, attractive addition to my kitchen equipment!

I love the Charles Viancin lids and have several sizes and styles, which are all great. The poppy lid is one of my favorites.

I now have all the sizes of the Poppy Lids and use them every day! They are extremely sturdy, well made and the suction is amazing! The lids are durable and will last a long time. They are easy to wash or stick in the dishwasher and dries easily. They are a ‘must’ in every kitchen! It’s great for the kids to use to avoid spills in the microwave. They are pricey , however, you get what you pay for. They fit snug on everything you use them for: from coffee cups to keep your coffee warm to dinner plates to pots and pans! Don’t waste your money on cheap versions! This would make every and any cook or baker happy to receive as an amazing gift- you can order all sizes (as a package) instead of buying them separately which is far cheaper! You won’t be disappointed!

I first found the larger sizes at Christmas and bought them for all the women of the family. They were hugely popular and after getting all the lovely thank you's I finally wised up and bought myself the lily pad and sunflower for myself in sizes to cover bowls and plate. They worked so well I then bought this smaller size and finally even the very littlest ones to cover cups and small bites. Why do they work so well? It's the remarkable seal you get from the silicone, if you lay it flat on the counter you cannot tug it up! But lift an edge and it peals up easily! How do I use it- I cover dishes in the microwave, keep the heat in when the dish goes to the table(and looks pretty there) and I can pop it over something and put it in the refrigerator. I covered a tuna salad in the fridge for 2 days and didn't smell the fish every time I opened the fridge! And they look great on dishes on the picnic table while keeping off the flies. They clean very easily and as they are silicone don't have a problem with heat or cold. I would mention they work best when you have a smooth edge to your container so you get a good seal. So be careful when you buy one- these babies are addictive and before you know it you will be getting every size they offer!

I love the look of this brand of silicone lid, but wish they weren't as expensive as they are. They really are good quality, though, and have that all-important opening on the edge so that you can hang them on a Command hook inside a cabinet door. I guess that was why I bit the bullet to buy a lid that is aesthetically pleasing as well as functional and hopefully more durable than cheaper options. This size is perfect for both my cookie mixing bowl and larger dough bowls, so it should get a lot use.

I wanted these to put on my husband's coffee cup. He walks around and sometimes slops a little. This top does a light seal when you gently push the centre down so it saves the carpet.

I previously had this item and I had to move so I had to get rid of it, but I loved it. It was the exact same one and it’s a perfect size for soup bowls for putting in the fridge or microwaving

I have these in every size including the square green one. Recently I started using glass vacuum containers and this size fits perfectly on the smaller containers. They seal well and wash easily. Would recommend.

I use this cover to reheat small dishes of food in the microwave to prevent splattering.....it works great and doesn't get hot.
