Lightweight, Sturdy Build, Portable
I travel a lot and relying on just a laptop screen is really difficult for me, with spreadsheets, code and financial charts open at the same time. The Asus duo monitor are incredibly lightweight, I was surprised how light when I got it. It's also made of aluminum which feels high quality. The flip stand hinge is really solid and holds the monitor in place without any problems, but I am purchasing the 1/4" mount to raise the monitors higher off the desk. The quality of the screens is excellent, I use a MacBook Air M4 and I can have each monitor show independent screens as long as I connect both USB-C cables. It mentions that you. must connect the power cord to the monitor as well, but I have found that my laptop seems to power the monitors without the need for the power cable, but I would recommend plugging the laptop into power so that there is some pass-through. The monitor comes with a really nice zip-up carry bag that has a sleeve on the front to hold the USB-C cables which is very useful. You can easily pack the monitor in a backpack with your laptop without much extra weight/bulk. The only downside is the price, as it is a bit more expensive than many other solutions. However, this is built from aluminum rather than plastic, the bezels around the screens are very small, the hinges are good quality, the back kickstand hinges are also good quality, and the resolution of the monitor is excellent, so I suppose you get what you pay for. It also comes with a 3 year warranty if you register it with Asus, so that is a big plus in my book.

Light weight, quality dual screen portable monitor, a solid buy
Wow. This monitor was so light I thought I had made a mistake when I felt the weight of it, I wanted a quality portable monitor and it did not feel like it judging by the weight. I was very incorrect when I fully took it out and fired it up. Picture quality is crisp, it’s bright, and was very easy to set up. No need to plug it in, it is powered directly through the USB-C computer connection. I use this for extra space for document parsing, and use it for extra space to watch stock charts. This thing is perfect, it is exactly what I wanted. Well worth it and highly recommended. It even came with a nice Asus carrying case!

Great Monitor but Not Worth the Value
Screen: The screen quality is great. Colors look amazing and can be adjusted via an app downloaded from the ASUS website. The screen size makes viewing content very comfortable. Sound: The sound quality from the built-in speaker is horrendous. Be in a very quiet environment if you want to hear anything playing from it. I recommend connecting speakers to the headphone jack or diverting the sound to play from the connected device (i.e. laptop or computer, etc). Functionality: Overall, it functions as intended. There are built-in settings that can be adjusted to your liking, as well as the app to further adjust the display. Be aware that it connects to other devices via micro-HDMI. There are, however, adapters if your device doesn't support that, though. The monitor also won't power on unless there is an HDMI signal being received, and for the sound to play through the monitor, you MUST power on the connected device BEFORE powering on the monitor. Durability: I haven't really dealt with durability issues that others have. The only issue I've has was the headphone jack not working on the monitor I purchased, but the 3- year warrant had that covered. Using the included screen guard as a stand doesn't work so well. It doesn't stand up well with the weight of the monitor, so I ended up purchasing as sturdier stand. All in all, it's a great monitor. Everything works great and functions well minus the poor sound quality. My main reason for purchasing this was portability and name, but there are cheaper and better alternatives on the market.

Great monitor! excellent por portability
This is an amazing monitor and I am so happy with it. I bought this because I do work at home, at an office and sometimes I go to my gf house and stay there. I am used to double monitor setup so this pairs excellent with my 17" laptop. Image quality is really good. I love how easy is to setup and just use, just pull out the tripod and with a snap you are all set. Also the included bag has enough space to carry a laptop in there. I know this is a gaming monitor but I haven't played many games on it. I tried CS2 and the 240 Hz at it looked really fluid. Sorry I can't comment in gaming capabilities, I bought this as an utility monitor to carry around and I choose this because I was getting way more specs for a few more dollars than the competition. I really recommend this monitor for someone who doesn't have a fixed space to work/game and is constantly moving around. This monitor is lightweight, easy to assemble and has excellent image quality.

BOUGHT 2, BOTH had BAD CABLES . One Fell forward (A Few Inches) was DESTROYED. ***DON'T BUY***
Fell forward on the desk because of the poorly designed magnet base, and completely busted. The is the worst product from ASUS I've ever owed, and I've been buying ASUS computers for 8 years. Never again will I buy a monitor. The monitor doesn't come on with power, input, & HDMI connection Since purchase, the monitor 50% of the time or more, refuses to come on. It doesn't detect the HDMI connection with the brand new cord. I will buy more cords, because maybe ASUS sent a defective cord, but after reading other reviews I believe this to be a manufacturing defect in the monitor. I love ASUS, but this is an expensive monitor to not work. This monitor is more trouble than the money is worth.

As a gamer who's always on the go, I've been looking for a portable monitor that can keep up with my fast-paced gameplay. And the ROG Strix XG17AHP definitely exceeded my expectations! This stunning 17.3” Full HD IPS portable monitor is built specifically for gaming, with a 3ms response time, 240Hz refresh rate, and adaptive sync that ensure your game runs with speed and clarity. The colors are vibrant, the contrast is sharp, and the overall image quality is outstanding. I was truly impressed with how smooth and fluid my games ran on this monitor. Great when it actually works
I've had and used this display for over a year now. Background: I work remote and frequently work away from home, so having a secondary display was a game changer for mobile productivity. The features of this display, being able to work fully via a single USB-C was a key reason I chose this display as it would work with my work Mac as well as my Windows laptop which I occasionally game on. Pros: - single USB-C cable to drive the display - good response time - display quality (many of the portable displays on the market are 720p, so this was a big deal) - can work on it's own battery if I want to conserve my laptop battery Cons: - when my Mac goes to sleep, sometimes the display goes into a weird state where it's on but has no picture. Using the power button to off-on doesn't always work, unplugging and re-plugging the USB-C cable .. you name it, I try it, but the display will just stay on but black screen. The only solution I've found is to simply unplug and leave it alone for HOURs until it finally gets low on power and kills itself. (Worth noting, my non-portable ASUS monitor sometimes has similar display issues after going to sleep with my Mac, but i can power cycle it and resolve it. it's never had the complete un-useability issue the portable display has had. Also worth noting I've never had this issue with my Windows laptop). - in under 1 year of having this, I had to have the device RMA-d because it would stop charging/accepting power from any power source. The device has worked fine since being returned from this, but still noteworthy - most recently this morning, the device won't work at all. My laptop detects the display, but the display indicates it's not even powered on and nothing I do will wake it up. Summary: I've loved this display and it's been great when it works, but I'm getting sick of the issues with it. If I paid <$200 for a portable display, I'd expect to have issues at some point. But for nearly $500, the quality/reliability of this display is unacceptable.
