I brought my daughter the 7/8 because she is petite but it fit her perfectly with room. Her birthday was in June and she just wore the dress for Halloween and still had little room. It is true to size

What exactly is the size for 8-9 year olds?

I ordered a 6-7 that was for my 7 year old granddaughter who is small for her age it was a little big for her. So an 8-9 should fit a girl that is the age who would be normal size. The dress is wonderful my granddaughter loves it and wears it all the time as a normal dress because she loves it so much. I hope that helps.

My daughter is turning 6 years old but I'm unsure what size to purchase, is this dress true to size?

The dress is true to six and if a little big it can be used as a dressed up, but I bought my daughter her correct size and it fit her perfectly

I daughter is turning seven and I am unsure what size to buy she’s very skinny but tall

My daughter has a similar build. I ordered the 12/130 size and it fit well. She will be able to wear it for her next birthday, if she's still into unicorn by then.
