Desert Essence Tea Tree Replenishing Shampoo with Peppermint, 12.9 oz

Great ingredients for an awesome price. Def worth it. This has been my go to shampoo now. I’ve purchased I believe 2 bottles. Leaves scalp clean and refreshed without stripping or breaking your hair. It’s not squeaky rubbery clean. For reference I’m a young black woman with 3c/4a hair :) so it works for all.

I tried this for the first time since I watched this one video of a Native grandmother talking about how her tribe uses raw yucca to wash their hair. This truly makes me hair feel SO clean after using it. And I love the clean simple smell while using it in the shower. It almost calms me in a way? Anyway, I love it so far and have noticed my hair is healthy looking and feels beyond clean after each use. I will def purchase again.

This is another great product from Desert Essence. I have been searching for over a year for a product to replace the Home Health Chamovera shampoo I have used for many years. Sadly, it is no longer available from manufacturer. The Desert Essence shampoo looks like it is going to be a good replacement. I have only used it a couple of times but it does a great job. I don't use any conditioner or styling products on my hair; what can I say, I am just a guy. I want a shampoo that cleans my hair without drying it out and making it fly-away and does not have an overpowering artificial fragrance. This shampoo fills the bill.

This is the most effective degreasing shampoo I've come across and the cheapest. Great combination in a product. I have moderately greasy hair, not super greasy like Bowzer or your trailer park mechanic. I do two applications per shower. I find that I need the second to reach the effectiveness I desire. I like to follow that up with a regular shampoo, sometimes with conditioner, to keep my hair soft. The effect will last about 10 hours. You can shower in the morning, go to work and come home -- and you're okay. If you go out at night, you'll need to degrease again if you're like me. That sounds excessive, but I've yet to see another degreaser last longer than 8 hours. As for the price, you can get a total of 24 ounces (3 8-oz bottles) for twenty or twenty one bucks. Other degreasers sell for $15 - $20 for just one 8-oz bottle. Finally, this company doesn't solicit a free trial shampoo for your review. People are compromised easily, whether slightly or egregiously, by such propositions, and I distrust both the reviewers and the company in those cases. This company is standing on its merits, here, on amazon. And I think this shampoo merits 5 stars.

I got this shampoo to help with my scalp that gets so oily. I had to wash it every day, otherwise it got very itchy, oily, and painful. After using this shampoo, I have seen a good reduction in oil production and and itchiness. It is very effective in that regard. I used to have to wash every day, now I can get away with every other day, or occasionally 3 days. It leaves me scalp very clean and I also LOVE that it is free of many toxins. I would say it doesn't go very far, meaning I need a much larger handful compared to other shampoos to get the same lather. But considering how effective it has been for me personally, I'm still happy. I do wish it came in a larger size bottle, but also not a huge deal, I'll just buy more frequently. Just bought my second bottle of it and will continue, really like this for soothing my oily, itchy, and painful scalp!

I have used this shampoo for about 10 years and it is still my favorite. I love this shampoo. It leaves the scalp feeling really clean and refreshed. It also doesn’t strip the moisture out of your hair. It leaves it feeling silky and soft. It smells great too but still all natural. Great value for money.

I use this shampoo regularly and really like this brand. The only reason for the three stars is because the shampoo came slightly opened and had leaked out all over the packaging. It also had a different color and scent from the store bought brand I usually buy. I guess it’s best not to buy this sort of thing online.

Most shampoos dry my hair, which is already very dry, but this one was an unexpected surprise. It cleans the hair without drying it, and as a bonus it looks all shiny. Will buy again.

Second time purchasing this product and I would characterize the shampoo as 'Alt' shampoo. It doesn't have a traditional perfumed scent, but once you get used to it, it really grows on you. I compare it to when our family switched to mineral based deodorant sprays/sticks; different at first, but no one will ever go back to the traditional products. Dessert Essence has done a good job with this one and even though it's three times the price of regular commercial shampoo we think its worth it for the benefits of their formulation, the great scent and its positive effect on mood. Would recommend.
