Will this work on a permanent retainer?

I would think so, b/c it works on braces. If you want to use it for a permanent retained cemented in back of your teeth, you might need to reverse how you hold the flosser...that could be tricky, but it's worth a try!!

Do these have a mint flavor or are they plain?

No mint, no flavor at all. This type is for braces, the front of the pick is very thin/small. The regular type in the stores are too big to fit inside the wires.

Can I use one stick to floss all my teeth?

YES, one stick is enough for all your teeth. You just rinse it in between. The flossers are strong.
