Use the SOAP AND WATER METHOD!
Great product, went on fairly easy just take your time. I read through the reviews and even though I was positive the soap and water method was best, I wanted to test out the peel and stick method (peeling off top half, gentle lining up, and then pressing from the inside to the outer edges) for research anyway. The peel and stick method was definitely easier to stick down, especially where the decal needs to fold down over the edge, but that way left me with a couple small bubbles. Those bubbles were small (last picture) but definitely noticable enough to be bothersome. However, I did do that one on the least used door in my truck so I think it was worth the experiment. Soap and water method was definitely the superior way of applying the decals. It allows you to adjust slightly before pressing into place. The bottom folding edges are a tad more laborious to get to stay down but definitely worth the extra few minutes per decal. Just keep starting at the center and push the decal down while pushing the water out. I used a couple microfibers instead of a squeegee to help soak up any moisture as I pressed down. A couple notes: Make sure you put the right decal on each side. I see some pics that have them on backwards and then mention them having a problem with the folding part. On each decal theres a part with a notch cut out, that notch faces the door hinges. If you put the flat edge toward the door hinge, it will still face the emblems and lettering the right way but, it will give you problems sticking down at the corners. Make sure to clean under the seal/trim/gaskets before using rubbing alcohol. I did a quart of warm water and about a 1/2 tsp of dawn soap to clean the area before wiping with alcohol and a microfiber. After cleaning with alcohol you should wet the area AND the backside of the peeled decal with water/soap solution before applying. It doesn't have to be flooded, but if it is, its okay, it'll be easy to make adjustments, but might take a little longer to set in place when you press down. Lastly, you can use doors floorboard trim as a frame of reference of where to place them. The interior's plastic trim has cuts that are the exact lengths of the decals, so just use those to map out where to place them, and make sure your notch is faced the right way. Overall its worth the money and effort for the OEM decals.

Genuine OEM
Note: I ordered the white letters separately, which was easier putting them on before installing the sills to the truck. The door sills looks great. Super easy install. Very strong adhesive. I bought my Tacoma new in 2017 and didn’t have sills installed and the paint mainly on the driver side has been disappearing ever so slightly, but after adding these it covered up everything nicely, can’t even tell now, my next Taco I will get these from the get go. Highly recommend getting these for new or even older Tacoma’s.

OEM Quality
Perfect fit and this covers all the scratches that occur over time. They have been on for a year and are still holding on just fine. Apply wet with a spray. Opinions will vary on this, but I used glass cleaner, sprayed the back, positioned them in place (tucked them under the door seal), and squeegeed out any air pockets. Great product.

Door sill protection
Easy install. Really like them. Should protect door sills for a long time.

Do it for you and your family.
Looks great! It’ll also hide the scuffs made by my passengers! People mention that this requires soap and a heat gun… but if you remove the plastic trims like it shows on the installation guide, then all you really need is a good pair of eyes, a microfiber cloth, while also steady hand to peel away the backing of the sticker. It takes less than 30mins total and that’s me taking my time. All in all this is meant to last for years and im sure it will, which is why it cost $45ish dollars as of May 2026. Get it if you’re tired of seeing your paint scuffed by shoes.

You have to be perfect.
Recommend using sharpie to mark placement. You have to place perfect at angle under carpet windlace before pressing on door sill. 1st protector went on perfect, but second was slight angle showing paint. I could not lift up even before curving over door sill.

They fit and look good!
They hide the scratches that the previous owner done ... They are good material and VERY sticky... Take your time and clean under the seal very well... Make sure you have the right one for the right side... Only thing that threw me off, mine was cut different than the picture but still worked and looked great! After looking back on the reviews, mine is cut right just different than the advertised pictures... 5 stars! Kinda pricey though... I went to Estay to get colored inserts, which makes them look 100% better in my opinion...

High quality, but slightly difficult to install the front pieces
Takes some work getting them installed - soap and water method is the way to go. I used a hair dryer to help smooth out any bubbles and fold over the seams.
