Excellent portable pop up shelter!!!
Purchased this for ice fishing with my son and daughter-in-law. We had a blast. The shelter went up in seconds, which was amazing for our first use. Day one of use was on a quiet day with little wind, so we didn't even need the shelter stakes, we just used snow to hold down the base. By late afternoon the wind did come up and the shelter held firm and we stayed warm inside. The collapsing of the shelter and re-bagging were relatively easy, if you have a problem, refer to the directions included in the shelter bag. As the weeks passed and we continued our mission to ice fish and enjoy the winter here "up north" The shelter was set up and taken down approximately 4 or 5 times in February with no problems. We did end up having to use the stakes a couple of times due to high winds. We had one small Mr. Heater to heat the interior with it would get almost hot if not kept on lowest heat. At one time we had 5 people inside. Personally I think it is better with 3 to 4, for comfort and fishing. Love that this shelter was insulated. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to go ice fishing and who does not have a permanent ice shack. Great experience.

LOVE THIS SHACK!!!!
We started out with a smaller shack and moved up to this larger one. So glad we bought the insulated version. Lots of room for 2 people and all our toys. Love all the windows, they are a good size and open and close easily. Love having the 2 doors also! The netting for storage inside is perfect for hats, mittens, scarves, and things you don't want to set on the ice. Also has air vents which we have actually used on warm days with lots of sun. Great product with easy setup and so easy to transport. Pops up quickly and folds down quickly as well.

Spacious and warm with room for improvement.
Great fishing hut overall with penty of room for two people and some gear. I really appreciate the heavy duty zippers and wide door openings - makes for getting in and out hassle free. Much warmer than other huts especially with the little heater buddy. One thing I wish it had, would be a better side (wall) anchor tie downs to keep the walls from pushing in during high winds. The strings it comes with are a poor solution to the problem. I'm now using light duty truck bed tie downs which combats the winds much better and can be done while wearing gloves. Also, the stitching needs to be reinforced connecting the corner anchor nylon tabs to the tent - I had three of four tear off completely with moderate to heavy wind.

This Shanty is Amazing
This shanty is warm and spacious. I love how you can stand straight up in most places due to the shape. It is also really easy to set up by yourself. It is also easy to get it back into the bag. I used a buddy heater in mine on low, and it gets it really nice and warm in there. It also retains its heat really well. It is plenty big enough for 4 people and all their gear. I really love mine, and I think you would too.

5stars for both the product and the seller
The item arrived on time and my son is thrilled with it! The carrying bag arrived with a small hole along the seam but the seller worked diligently to get us a replacement bag. This wasn’t an easy task as the FatFish has been sold out for a bit. For the time and energy I give the seller 5 stars as well as the product! Great customer service!

Insulated, Spacious Shelter That's Easy to Set Up and Take Down (Even By Myself)
I had an older model Eskimo shelter and because I had an ice fishing trip coming up with a larger group than usual, wanted a second shelter to accommodate the numbers. The Fatfish 949i was just the ticket, as it's taller than my older model, but has the same quilted warmth as my old shelter. I've been in shelters with floors, but they're either tight, or because they're not collapsible like the Eskimo, they're very bulky and hard to transport. A single propane heater kept us warm even though outside it was windy and in the upper teens. The best part is the shelter is really easy - and quick - to set up. I used it recently on a trip with just three people, and even though the other two had to leave before I did, I was able to take down the shelter by myself, in just five minutes! The price point is great, too; less than I would have paid for similar shelters of other brands. In summary, a great choice for an ice-fishing shelter when you need room for three or four people, although we seem to find it works best with three.

I've use this tent in =40c wind chill and with a 12000btu heater, I was down to my fleece jacket. The low windows are nice and two doors are very well made. The tent was a little stiff to get folded up in the very cold weather but the storage bag is generously made. The dark interior is also really nice for sight fishing and is quite dark. I would recommend this for 2-3 people with gear to fish in. Its a very well made and for the price, it beats all other tents out there.

Cette tente pour la pêche sur la glace est très bien faiteet très grande. Elle se monte facilement et est de très bonne qualité. Le seul défaut que je peux lui donner est qu'elle est lourde ( 40 lbs).

Great tent! Lots of room. Only draw back is in high wind. Big is good but more wall to catch wind! I like this tent so well we have two of them now for the whole crew to fish!

Used it for the first time last night. I work in the film industry around Vancouver BC, where it rains a lot. Within the first minutes of use water started seeping in. However, it worked very well for ease of use and keeping out the wind during this monsoon if a rain and windstorm. I'm going to keep the tent and just add a very big tarp on top to solve the water problem. I would imagine if you were not in the rain as much as I am, it would be more ideal.

Does what its supposed to do. Keeps you warm and out of the wind. Built strong and comes with good ice anchors. Enough space to sleep on the ice for 2 people, or fish for the day with 4 people. No complaints, as advertised.
