I have exhaust tips I want to coat. How is this applied?

If your exhaust is over 350F it won’t stay on. It bakes on at 400F. My reason for using this stuff is very different, I paint bullets.

This is a Polyester TGIC type powder.

What does this even do? It looks like a piece of wood painted red.

This is a contoured piece of metal to give you different angles of how the color looks after it is applied. If you ordered this item it would be Red Power Coat in a bag. Not actually the shaped item pictured. Again the picture is just to show the color from different angles and shapes.

Would this work for doing my girlfriends tools so the guys won't try to snag them in the shop?

As long as the tools are conductive and able to withstand the 400 degree curing process they can be powder coated.
