These hair swatches are very nice. I love that the hair is 8 inches long, it makes it much easier to see what a new color will look like against my skin tone and my actual hair color. And with them being on a ring that opens, you can take the one (or two) off with out having to be distracted or fighting with the rest of the colors. So much better than the small swatches that are mounted to a board and that kind of look like a tiny 1.5 inch broom. I needed to buy these so when I go to my salon, I can take her the color that I want to try, so I know she knows the color that I'm asking for. I looked around for a while at other swatches but I kept comparing them to this one, so yes I am very happy with my choice.

I've been using these to test gray blending formulas for hair color. I have dark hair with some grays so this color is a pretty good approximation of my own hair. The tresses are very convenient for this use. I wish that they has slightly bigger tags to write down formulas.

Great quality and great price

I have yet to use them, so I can’t say how they respond to color/bleach. However, they are not a tone Level 6. In terms of exposed color TONE on lifted natural hair, I’d say these product swatches are a 7.5, i.e., between Levels 7 & 8. See b&w (used “mono” filter) photo to gauge tone; see color version of same photo to confirm COLOR of swatch is same as product advertised. It’s very clear that the card ‘Level 6’ swatch is much darker than the product. FYI, I experimented with photos until I was satisfied that the color & tones were depicted accurately & no light is reflected or swatches in shadow (—the card swatches are extremely reflective).

They r great easy to make color swatches

Do not perform like real hair If they are real hair, it has been processed and dyed. It cannot be bleached. other reviews said it only lifts one level, it does not, it strips a color they put over the hair (artificial or not) and makes it look yellower but does not lift it and you can tell when you take a black and white picture of it. They cannot be bleached and the porosity is that of artificial hair so you do not get accurate color swatches whatsoever. Fun sure. Useful? No. This is a waste of money and time.

The hair seems to be good quality and there is a spot at the top where you can label each swatch formula. Good buy!

I ordered pale blonde and got medium yellow :( Update I was able to bleach theses to a lvl 10 without them completely falling apart! 4 stars for the price!
