Making the Connections 3: A How-to Guide for Organic Chemistry Lab Techniques

This was an "optional" textbook for my organic chemistry lab. I'm so glad I bought it, because the author explains all the concepts in detail and in a way that makes sense to beginners. Highly recommend for any intro organic chemistry lab! Covers all the expected topics (recrystallization, extraction, TLC, column chromatography, distillation, NMR, etc)

This book is not bad. As far as the writing some parts I like better than others. The diagrams of the lab materials are the most useful. If you need a specific topic sometimes it's difficult to find where it is in the book. Also there's no answer key for the questions

Brand new, fresh book for first term organic chem! Required book. In-depth lab techniques. Not amazingly clear in some places but definitely informative.

This is a very concise and useful companion throughout Organic Lab.
