12V LED UV Black Light Strip Kit

Worked as expected.

I use these UV light strips in my display cabinet to light up my uranium glass and a few other fluorescent pieces, and they work really well for that. The glow is bright enough to make everything pop without being harsh, and it gives the whole shelf this really cool, almost museum-style look at night. The strip was easy to set up and shape around the inside of the cabinet, and once it was in place it stayed put. I’ve used similar lights before, but these have been one of the better sets in terms of brightness and consistency. If you collect UV-reactive or glow glass, these are great for showing it off. Overall, I’m really happy with them and would definitely buy for more cabinets in the future. Just gotta make sure you measure and give yourself extra length depending on how you want to set it up. I think I used about 4 of these 16.4ft strips (about one for each shelf).

I glued these under my GloFish tank hood and they worked great. After about two weeks the condensation water found a way in and shorted half the strand. I bought them again and changed the design and made a hood with a plexiglass barrier and that has done the job. Very bright. My task looks awesome now. For normal applications they are great, I just wouldn't submerge them.

The strip was easy to apply though wasn’t as sticky as the strip I was replacing after 18 months was, and I’ve noticed it coming off in places. The lights are bright, I use it to illuminate my display case of minerals, crystals, and carvings that glow under UV light. When the product was working properly I could see some of the different colors of specimens from across the room, now it blinks on for a split second before going dark for several seconds. Now the product is useless and will need to be replaced. Since it’s been used I’m guessing I can’t return it so I’ll have to fork out more money. ☹️

Took about 5 hours to install these on my boat. I think it turned out great!

The lights worked great and were plenty bright when I first tested them on the spool. Great deal for the cost. I unrolled it and installed them in a container that I was planning on using for a UV curing station for 3d printed resin models. After installation using the adhesive strip included on them, they wouldn't work anymore. After some investigating and checking connections to make sure nothing had come disconnected, I decided that they must be defective and removed them. After removing them all, suddenly they started working again. It turns out that they have exposed connection pads on the back side of the strip that are covered with the adhesive. A few sections had the adhesive misaligned so it wasn't covering these terminals and they were grounding to the container that I had them installed in. While the lights themselves work fine, the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. Be wary of those exposed terminals on the sticky side of the strips. Thankfully it just prevented the strips from working instead of shorting out and causing a fire or shock hazard. I'm not sure if I will be keeping this or replacing it with a set that has a little more build quality and a bit less of a fire/shock hazard.
