Good quality and good appearance.
Ordered one for wife's use in bed and one for me with recliner. These are large, sturdy, and steady, of hospital quality. Assembly was fairly easy but needed 10mm metric wrench, somewhat heavy parts/ awkward. Assembled them on bed for working surface, some bolts were a little difficult to thread due to paint in threaded holes. Also ordered a wooden book holder as table does not tilt.

Exactly what I wanted - a sturdy, mobile table for my laptop
I got this table to use while relaxing in my lounger in our game room so I can comfortably play World of Warcraft and browse the internet on my laptop. I'd previously used a lap desk, but I wanted a free-standing table not reliant on my lap. I'd looked at some smaller laptop tables, but wanted ample room for my mouse and whatever else, so I thought a table like this would be a great option. Overall it went smoothly, but there were a couple things I thought would be helpful to point out. Packaging The table was packaged well and the table top wrapped in plastic to protect it. All the hardware was packaged neatly and numbered according to the instructions. There were two straps around the box to keep it secured, but you could tell people had lifted it by those straps so they had cut into the box slightly. That didn't appear to cause any damage. My only packaging complaint is they screwed the mounting bracket through the plastic so I had to loosen the 8 screws to cleanly remove it. Assembly & Instructions I assembled this myself in a leisurely 30ish minutes. Some of that time was spent getting tools and petting dogs. You will need a large Phillips head screwdriver, 10mm wrench and they say a 16mm wrench, which I didn't have in my wrench set, but I used a 5/8" wrench successfully instead. I thought the instructions were very well written, easy to follow and clear. I included photos of the instructions so you can decide for yourself. The only assembly challenge I had was in step 5 - the holes didn't align properly. So I loosened the nut in step 4, adjusted the bracket and everything lined up. So maybe wait to completely tighten the nut in step 4 until you've ensured those holes are lined up. Lift Mechanism In reading the reviews, I was a bit worried that any time I barely grazed the table, it would pop up and fling my laptop across the room. That is not the case, fortunately. I can bump the bottom of the table pretty hard, and it only slightly moves up in small increments. If you open palm the bottom of the table (like waiters hold serving trays) you can slide the table up. It's not the smoothest action, since the lift rod keeps it from flying up, but it's not bad. I set my drink on it, pushed up and was fine. Nothing wild happened. The lowering lever is easy to use (especially when installed correctly). I'm starting to get arthritis in my hands and have somewhat poor grip, so it's nice to be able to use this lever with ease. Lowering is very smooth and simple. Sturdiness I expect to rarely have more than my laptop and mouse on here, so I'm not super concerned about a weight limit, but pressing down on the table, it feels sufficiently sturdy. Quality Structurally, I think the quality is great. It didn't take much to put it together and it feels strong. The table top does have some small chips around the edges where it was cut and I imagine I'm going to wear it down more by resting my arms on the edge. If it gets bad, I'll just wrap it in a PVC countertop wrap (like from EZ FAUX DECOR, which we used in our kitchen). The wheels are pretty basic wheels, nothing fancy, but they work great. Size The tabletop measures 15x30 inches. I can comfortably fit my laptop and mouse with room to spare. Overall This table is exactly what I wanted. It was easy to put together, it's easy to use and it's very sturdy. I'm so pleased with this table and recommend it for anyone wanting a reasonably priced, decently-sized, roll-around table that fits nicely around furniture. I hope this was helpful!

Get your tools handy - it is worth it.
I took photos of my journey putting this table together and accidentally deleted them. SO, forewarned by previous reviews, I knew I had the tools - I thought I did. I am a senior woman who doesn't need a man to fix it or put it together. I have tools. My husband has tools I don't have, and we have my father's tools, so I have pretty much everything. Find the Youtube video of putting the thing together. They don't go in the exact sequence of the printed thing. I was a little apprehensive about it all from other reviews but except for some minor stuff it was easy. FOLLOW the video. Do a step. Put it on hold. Do next step..............then when you reach step 7.....two BOLT Sleeves into upsidedown Base and then position two BOLTS (12)..........I stop there because the two BOLTS (12) that I received certainly fit, but one had angles where you use your wrench. ONE was completely ROUND. no wrench would do doodley with that. In the list of included parts they do NOT say one is round and one uses a wrench. Again, the bolt fit but I had to search through all the tool boxes in our garage for a tool that would LOCK on a round bolt so I could screw it in. I promise you that if you do not have such a tool, it would be easier and faster to take the bolt with edges to the hardware store and buy another one . THAT was my only hangup. I could have built that thing in 20 minutes by myself except for trying to find a tool for that one stinking round bolt that I didn't anticipate and wasn't mentioned in the included instructions or the video. A mistake? I think not. Someone was having a bad day and decided to toss that in for fun. SO. Put together. For $50 it is sturdy enough and rolls well and the brake works well. It goes up and down easily. I am super pleased and I do enjoy a challenge (and this was) because it keeps my brain active. Thanks for the challenge DRIVE folks. I had a glass of red after that.

Sturdy, steady, and work-mode ready!
Took my mama only 15min to build, it's super sturdy, and it moves up n down so easily! Adjusted it to a perfect height for my bed and it fits my laptop and nightstand contents so I can alternate between work-mode and rest-mode. My carpet is really short n stiff so it rolls over it pretty well, though if youre as weak as me it can be heavy if you wanna move it more than a few feet at a time. Luckily I only need to swivel it a few inches to go from working to resting, so it makes a perfect addition to my bedside. I love how much I can fit on it and how sturdy it feels!

Works exactly as expected! Pretty easy to assemble, but requires tools .
Product: Drive Medical Overbed Table with Wheels - Secure Height Adjustment for Comfort - Non Tilt Surface - Smooth Rolling Design - Home & Hospital Use - Woodgrain Laminate Top - Silver Vein PROS - Lowest priced option in this category - Not too terribly difficult to assemble. Senior citizens will likely need the assistance of a younger person. - (Basic) lever-locks on two of the caster wheels. CONS - None really. - Nitpicking: Possibly directions could've been ever-so-slightly more descriptive or had better pictures. - Nitpicking: Requires tools; did not come with the generic, barely useful tools that one is used to finding. This didn't bother me as I always use my own tools. But for someone else, particularly an elderly person that doesn't have their own tools, this will be a showstopper. GENERAL / OVERALL I'm very happy with this unit. Unintentionally, this happens to be my second purchase from the Drive brand. They seem to produce mostly quality products that are sold at the lowest price. (My first product was an inexpensive wheelchair.) It went together without much issue. I used a squared philips head, a 10mm socket, and a 5/8" socket. The respective wrench would work also. Now that I'm familiar with its assembly, the instructions seem a bit more obvious, but when you're going at it the first time, there were a couple of "Is this what they are instructing?"

Absolutely incredible, study, easy to put together
This is fabulous and exactly what was needed. My husband went through back surgery and before he came home, I realized that I had no way to give him a plate of food until he could get out of bed. This is study and just wonderful. Was easy to put together.

Functional Yet Flawed โฟ: My Drive Medical Overbed Table Experience
After my ankle surgery, I was dreading the weeks of recovery ahead, confined to my bed with limited mobility. Thankfully, the Drive Medical Adjustable Non Tilt Top Overbed Table became an unexpected ally, providing a much-needed surface for meals, work, and entertainment. However, it wasn't without its quirks. The Good: Secure and Stable (Mostly): The walnut, wood grain laminate top is aesthetically pleasing and usually locks securely when the height adjustment handle is released. This feature has been great for keeping my items steady, except for one time when my water bottle tipped over because I bumped the table a little too hard. Easy Maneuverability (Sometimes): The H-style base with 2-inch swivel casters allows for easy movement, especially on carpet. I could easily glide it to my bedside for meals or wheel it into the living room for a change of scenery. However, on my hardwood floors, the wheels don't always roll smoothly, making it a bit of a struggle at times. Adjustable Desk: The table can be raised or lowered in infinite positions between 28 and 45 inches, making it incredibly versatile for different uses. I've comfortably used it for eating, working on my laptop, and even playing board games with my family. Sturdy Build (Up to a Point): With a weight capacity of 40 lbs, it can hold various items without issue. I've had up to 30 lbs of equipment on it, and it remains stable. However, some of the plastic components feel a bit flimsy, and I worry about their long-term durability. Drawbacks: Height Adjustment: The table lifts up way too easily! It's like it's just waiting to tip over. I've learned to be extra careful, especially when I have my laptop on it. One accidental bump, and my work goes flying. Inconsistent Rollability: As I mentioned, the table rolls smoothly on carpet, but it's a different story on hardwood. The wheels tend to get stuck, making it difficult to move around without scratching the floor. Additional Considerations: Assembly Woes: Be prepared for an unexpected trip to the hardware store! The table requires a 16mm combination wrench for assembly, which isn't included. Final Thoughts: The Drive Medical Overbed Table was a lifesaver during my recovery, providing a much-needed surface for daily activities. Its adjustability and maneuverability (on carpet, at least) were key. However, the overly sensitive height adjustment and inconsistent rolling on different surfaces are frustrating flaws. If you're looking for an affordable and versatile overbed table, this one could work, but be aware of its quirks and consider the added cost of a wrench for assembly.

Helps My Father With Half Paralysis
Having a loved family member being bed ridden for two years and counting, this has been one of the more most essential items for him in the last two years. It rolls around the main floor and provides him with a reliable table that can expand up and sink down to a height that fits him on the sofa or in bed. Good for eating food, setting a tablet, holding drinks, and the list goes on. After about 2 years, the functions began to show in the spring mechanism. It no longer held the position reliably and the wheels began showing major signs of isssues when one roller totally cracked in half. The wheels are near impossible to source online. Had to get another set. Works like new again and not overly expensive.

Good product
Can't beat it for the price. I bought this table prior to having surgery to have next to my bed during recovery. It holds all the things I need, and I can easily roll it towards me or away while in bed. This made items really easy to reach when I lacked mobility. The table was easy to assemble watching the video that's available on the item's page. We used the video more than the enclosed instructions. Seems like the manufacturer might have improved the item, as nothing sprang out at us when we were assembling it. There is actually a long screw that secures the mechanism while you build it, and it's the last thing to come out at the end, so be sure to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! There was a small rattling noise once it was fully assembled, but turned out that it was the handle, and I solved the problem by wedging a small piece of cardboard in under it.
