We use this to restrain two small dogs in their booster car seat, not for walking them. It's attached to the headrest. Because the leashes are so thick and heavy, they help keep the dogs from getting tangled up with each other. The clips are easy to open and close; being so big, they add to the sturdiness and safety of the setup. The quality is fantastic.

What a perfect creation. I'm now able to walk both my doggies at the same time, without another human. My dogs are small, and are the same height. They are constantly switching sides and heading off in opposite directions, which made it impossible for one person to walk both of them. Now that I have this awesome leash, I can attach both their harnesses and head out walking without any outside assistance. They cross over repeatedly, SEAMLESSLY, and the joint swivels with their movements. So they are now able to switch sides endlessly and without problems. It's super sturdy. More strength than I would ever need for two small dogs. But that's exactly the sense of security and safety that I wanted and expected. It's sturdy, strong and very well made. If I was traveling alone, I used to have to choose which dog to take with me. Now all three of us can head out to farmers market early in the morning when the rest of the house is still sleeping. And no angry dawg gets left behind any more. Perfect well-constructed solution. One happy dog mom and two happy dawgs. A must-have item for anyone who wants to walk with two. Highly recommend!

Had this for several months now, this is a very sturdy dog leash coupler Y extender, with a 4' detachable leash attachment. Nice reflective quality for night walks. With the foam handle cover on, my hand wouldn't fit into the handle loop. I cut the foam handle covering off, as I like to slip my hand thru the handle, so it rests on my wrist. The foam covering does give good grip, but it wasn't suited well for me and the way I prefer to hold my leash. The Y coupler can be extended or shortened as you need it. The hardware attachments at both the points, connecting to the leash and the collars, have swivel mechanisms, which is very helpful if/when the dogs cross in front of one another on your walk. Hardware is sturdy - but heavy, so may not be well suited for small dogs. You can also use the short 4' leash separately, without the Y coupler, if you like a shorter leash sometimes. If your dogs walk well, side by side, this could be a great solution if you want to only handle one leash. Our pups are all different ages and tend to walk at very different paces. so we don't use this solution often. We'll keeping trying walking the younger ones together, as they mature.

Until two days ago I would have given this a five star review. But the leash snapped and one of my dogs was completely unrestrained. Fortunately she loves her groomer and ran to her before she really registered that she was free, and we were on a suburban street with little traffic at the time. Next week, we would have been at the vet's office, on a very busy city street where her fear level is high, and she would likely have bolted. My dogs weigh 19 and 21 pounds. We have a fenced yard so we rarely go out. These leashes have not been under major strain or had excessive use, and actually show multiple points of impending failure, now that I have looked at them. Do not buy these. And if you have them, inspect them carefully before every use.

very good quality and the range of sizing is helpful. My dogs are pullers and the tandem leash keeps them in line. And I love that the Mighty Dog products are made in America.

This is a wonderful leash for walking two dogs at a time. I used it for my dog 15lb and a friend's dog, 20lb, over the course of about 5 days in an urban city area with a light to moderate amount of foot traffic and distractions. For larger dogs I'd recommend something with wider straps, though these are durable. Allows both dogs to walk without ever getting tangled up, and over time they figure out they're both attached and need to exercise some patience, which I think is just good training anyway. Toughest issue by far is greeting other dogs closely on the street, where it's very easy for both humans and dogs to get very tangled, so I'd recommend avoiding close up hellos especially with unfamiliar dogs. If you have the time to do some training/practice with the dogs indoors with it, that'll pay off. Even leaving the leash on them for a few minutes at a time, supervised of course, so they get a sense of the connection. Overall really pleased with this purchase, a great value!

Just got my new Mighty Dog double lease and used it for the first time last night. I am so pleased with how it handles! For the first time in a long time I was able to walk both dogs without having to stop over and over again to untangle them. It made the walk so much more enjoyable. I also found that I still had great leash control and could keep them both close by myside in our heal position. I was afraid at first that it might be confusing for them since the leads were now identical, but both dogs responded amazingingly. This leash is a gam changer and I now feel like I am closer to being able to take them both to areas with more people. Thanks!

Does the job, never tangles A plus I can take the double lead extension off and use it with my own extension lead. Also the length extends to a great length given both dogs freedom of movement. The quality is great!

Le produit est de belle qualité, il a l'air bien solide et de bonne fabrication. Cependant, j'ai deux Boston Terrier et je trouve que c'est un peu gros comme laisse. J'aurais préféré quelque chose d'un peu moins ''massif''. Mais somme toute je vais quand même l'utiliser, car c'est très bien ;)

Really strong and reliable double lead. Helps me walk my two large dogs (with a combined weight of 70kg) and they never get tangled up, despite always crossing over each other. Highly recommended.
