Quality, and quick and easy to use. I LOVE IT.
The IT team at my job recommended this speaker for meetings. It was expensive so I was reluctant but I did pretty good research and this one really was the best option as far as features and functionality, and I’d rather pay the money and have that than pay less and have less. Anyways, I LOVE THIS SPEAKER. I take a lot of conference calls and meetings and sometimes my headset would act up leaving me frantically trying to get my laptop to be my main source of speaker/mic which was a pain. Once you Bluetooth this to your ur laptop, anytime you turn it on it automatically connects immediately which I love. The sound quality is great. I love the ease of tapping the mute button in the middle. You just tap is so lightly and it goes on and off. That way I can stay unmuted on the meeting software while still being able to use mute quickly off and on as needed. I have a noise machine in my office that sounds like a waterfall, and I asked the team if they could hear background noise or my noise machine and they couldn’t hear it at all. It’s got a great and sturdy case the keeps it protected and easy to bring with me on the go or put into my drawer without it getting banged up. The weight of it is pretty good, you can tell it is a quality speaker. Honestly, I was going to expense this to my company and one of my bosses didn’t understand why I wanted a speaker (I tried out the one the IT team had before buying my own)… needless to say I purchased it on my own out of spite because it is an excellent speaker and so convenient… and he’s seen it being used and thinks it’s cool and guess what I’m not sharing and this one has my name on it. Maybe he will get one to expense out now lol 😂 Spend the money, get the quality speaker! 🔊

Ultra clear sound, easy handshaking, and good portability
The box says it all "ultra clear". I am on conference calls for many hours during a work week and I dislike wearing headphones so I was searching for an alternative. This speakerphone is excellent, I can hear others on the call perfectly and people on the other end report hearing me very clearly as well. It handshakes easily to my devices which so far have included my iPad, a desktop computer, and my laptop. The package includes a good quality sturdy case to protect it during travel. Still on the first charge after a week+ of conference calls, and it has a handy auto shutdown feature when I forget to turn it off after a call. I definitely recommend this product.

Perfect for conference calls
When I first read the reviews on this product, I was a bit skeptical since so many of the reviews were so positive. Now I understand why. After using this for two days, I am absolutely in love with it. I am using it with a 2020 MacBook Air for zoom calls, an iPhone XI, and tried it on a Mac mini as well. The mic performance is excellent - I have tested it in a number of rooms, one with a 16' ceiling, and at various distances. The mic quality degrades slightly at distances beyond 6 feet, but that is a minor point. As long as I am in the vicinity of the device, the clarity is excellent and folks can't tell the difference. The output is very nicely tuned for the human voice, making it much easier to hear the call when different people are speaking or there are heavy accents. The ease of use is excellent - it connects faster than other bluetooth devices I use - and the construction is nice. A good weight to it, silicone pad so it won't slip, the enclose is nice to hold, and the buttons function fine. For the price point, this is really impressive. By way of comparison to the MBAir, the mic pickup on the Anker is far superior. I find that the MBA has trouble when I'm not centered within two feet of the device or there is background noise. The Anker really "releases" me from having to be exactly in front of the MBA at all times. Also, while the MBA audio is far superior, it is not as good as the Anker for human voices. Voices on the Anker are much easier to hear and follow - I can sense it takes less concentration on my part (and my brain!). I've used a vast range of bluetooth devices for various audio applications, and as a conference device this is by far the best I have tried (Bose, Jabra,, and a host of music listening devices). Even compared to a VoIP Polycom Soundstation (the gold standard in my world), this is a worthy competitor. The key differences for the Anker are the mic quality, battery life, and the way the audio is tuned to human voices. Now let's see how it holds up over time ;-).

Great Speaker for Online Calls.
Great speaker. Why: 1. Clear sound out. Touch volume buttons work well. 2. Good microphones. Parties on the other end confirmed. 3. Nice low profile design. 4. Can keep it plugged into power or run off battery. 5. Cord length could be 1-2 feet longer. 6. Connectivity good. One related issue. I brought the identical model for the office. The speaker went crackly in less than a week. Exchanging it. Dropped to four stars. This version has a had outside case. Excellent. The latest model has fabric cover. That is not a great change go my use. Will collect more dust and be harder to clean. Not clear why Anker made that change: audio quality, cost, looks perhaps?

Excellent!
We were going to have a meeting and some users would be remote. I found out the meeting room we were going to use had its collaboration system disconnected because it hadn't been used much. So, a couple days before the meeting I picked this up on sale for $90. This worked for three full days of meetings. Everyone on both sides of the call across a large meeting table could hear and speak well. I just bluetoothed it to my laptop and hosted the meeting, and kept it charging using USB C. Highly recommend. Will be keeping this in my laptop backpack for these types of uses.

Good Value for the Road Warrior - Anker PowerConf vs. Jabra Speak 510
My job is 90+% travel and has been for the past 8 years. I've used every iteration of Jabra portable speakerphones (410, 510, and now 710) and a number of Plantronics portable speakerphones as well. The PowerConf is a great v1.0 entry for Anker. For the purposes of this review, I'm comparing the Anker PowerConf against the Jabra 510 as I think that's the closest 1:1 comparison. Where the Anker PowerConf wins: - USB Charging: Adding the ability to charge other devices via USB is GENIUS. I previously carried a Jabra speakerphone and an Anker PowerCore in my bag, but now I only need the Anker PowerConf. Anker makes some fantastic batteries/chargers, and this device is one of them. - Cost: The PowerConf comes in about 33% less than the Jabra 510. Anker frequently has sales on their products, so I imagine it will be on sale at even greater savings than 33%. - Bluetooth Multipoint: The Anker allows for multiple concurrent connections (multipoint). Note: It will only play/send audio from one device at a time, but it's much easier to switch the audio/mic from your PC (if you're listening to music) to your mobile phone (if you get a call). - Carrying Case: The carrying case for the Anker PowerConf is a hardshell case, whereas the Jabra ones are all neoprene. I feel like this adds additional protection when it's jostling around inside my bag. Where it's a tie: - Microphone Noise Isolation: Both speakerphones do a good job of isolating noise. I made recordings with a radio playing in the background. In both recordings my voice was clear and I was not able to hear the radio in the background. Where Jabra Speak 510 wins: - Audio Quality: The audio quality on the Anker PowerConf is good, but the Jabra 510 sounds noticeably better when listening to music or on a call. - Microphone Quality: While both speakers do a good job of noise isolation, my voice seemed to increase and decrease in volume on the Anker PowerConf recording (as if I was walking away from the speakerphone and back to again - except I was sitting still the whole time). The microphone quality difference is much less noticeable than the audio quality difference, but it's still there. Summary: Choose the Anker PowerConf if... - You're a minimalist and the thought of consolidating your portable battery charger and speakerphone is appealing. IMO, it's nice to be able to reduce the space (and weight) in my bag by only having one device. - You're looking for a good lower cost option (the Anker PowerConf is ~33% less than the Jabra Speak 510). Choose the Jabra Speak 510 if... - You or your clients/colleagues are audiophiles (and if that's the case, I'd recommend going with the Jabra Speak 710 as the speaker and microphone are significantly better). - You have other Jabra devices and enjoy customizing them using the Jabra Direct app. My choice: I already own a Jabra Speak 710 and it's going to stay in my bag moving forward (even though it means carrying a separate Anker PowerCore for charging). It's by no means a 1:1 comparison against the Anker PowerConf (the Jabra 710 costs more than twice as much as the Anker PowerConf), but the audio and microphone are definitely better. Many of my colleagues also own Jabra 710s, so it's nice to be able to daisy chain them together in large conference rooms. If money isn't an issue, then I'd recommend the Jabra Speak 710. However, if you're looking to stay in the sub-$200 price range, then my comments above stand.

Solid conference speaker at a good price
The Anker speakerphone has a nice heft, quality feel and a rubber ring around the base; and it gives every indication of having a long battery life per charge. The center panel contains controls for answer/end, volume, forward (for media), and mute. A light ring surrounds this and indicates which of the six mics is active plus Bluetooth pairing, and mute status. The top has an attractive pattern of holes, underneath which is a high quality speaker. A contrasting color ring around the middle contains the 6 mics, front panel controls for on/off and Bluetooth pairing plus an indicator light for each. The rear panel has jacks for USB power out, aux out (3.5mm), and USB-C for charging and maybe other functions I haven’t discovered yet. Sound quality is excellent with enough volume to cover a reasonably sized conference room. Power up and pairing happen very quickly, almost as fast is using the mobile phone speaker function. We’ve had no complaints from callers about our voice clarity or quality so assume it must be decent. It’s speakerphone is a handy size, about 5X5 and comes with a carrying case making it a solid choice for on-the-go use.

Good Speaker Not Great
Speakerphone Comparison Anker Conference Phone vs Jabra 710 Speaker Quality: Tie: Both of these have very good speaker quality. Both reproduce clear and distinct. If you were to decide on speaker quality, you would not go wrong picking either one. Unfortunately, the speakers can only reproduce what the mics pickup and the signal sends. Microphone Quality: Jabra wins: I own both of these and have tested both. At about 3-5 feet from the unit the Anker had acceptable quality, but it was not as robust and clear. The Jabra was clear and robust and comfortable to listen to. At 10' you had to strain to understand the conversation with the Anker. At 10' the Jabra was not quite as robust as it was at 5' but there still was not a strain to hear what the other side was saying Design: Jabra wins: The Jabra has more controls and they are laid out well. The volume is more incrementally adjustable. Anker's controls are laid out well but there are fewer of them and they have bigger steps in their adjustment. With the Jabra it is easier to dial in a "just right" setting as opposed to the Anker. Both have good cases. The Jabra has a zippered cloth case vs the Anker has a zippered injected moulded case with a nice semi-textured finish. One of my pet peeves is the number of charging cables I have to carry independently. The Anker furnishes a nice USB-C to Type A charging cable, but you have to carry it separately and it will not fit in the case. Therefore, you have to carry it separately. Just hope when you need to charge it you remember where you stored it. The Jabra integrates the cable with the unit, and it stores neatly wrapped around a circular slot on the back of the unit. Connectivity: Jabra wins: Jabra will allow me to have two devices connected at the same time and the Anker only lets me have one. Build Quality: Tie: Both units are solid and well made. The Jabra is round and the Anker is square with rounded corners. Both feel solid in your hand and are of reasonably good weight. Extras: Jabra Wins: Jabra's integrated charging cable (mentioned above). Jabra furnishes a USB wireless dongle if you need to connect to a computer and you do not have your cable handy. Jabra has a pop-out stand integrated in the rear of the unit that holds the speaker in the vertical position if you prefer that. Unfortunately, the Anker comes with the unit, charging cable, and case. No stand, no wireless dongle and a USB-C to Type A charging cable. Price: Anker wins: This is easy. Today on Amazon Anker costs $129.99 vs Jabra at $214.79. That is about a 40% price difference! Summary: If you are looking for a good speaker phone and you are more concerned about price than call quality then you will be happy with the Anker. If you are more concerned about call quality, then go with the Jabra. You will be happier. As for me I own both. One for home and one for office. I will probably buy a third to throw in my briefcase. I will buy another Jabra just because the call quality is important. If I am on a call with a customer and am making a sales pitch, I do not want my customer having to continually ask me "what was that you said" and I end up shouting and repeating myself. That is time consuming and gives the appearance of not being professional. Plus, at the end of the call I want to hear them say "You sold us, here is the purchase order". Hope this helps.

Great performance so far
Very nice gadget. Helped multiple times for small and big meetings. Two things that it doesn’t have (and probably too much to ask from that device at this price): 1) making mesh with several speakers for big meetings, 2) charge phone without need to switching on the device. Otherwise, it exceeded expectations. Solid quality and sound performance

Not suited for the job
I absolutely love the build quality, but that doesn't take away the fact that it's not doing what I need it to do: have a normal Teams conversation with 2+ people at my side "of the table". 1) somehow a persisting lag is introduced between video and sound. 2) the mics pic up way to much low frequency sounds (according to multiple people at the "receiving end" in multiple calls), making it hard to actually hear what is being said.
