This stuff works
My cats had fleas after we had a stray come in and have her kittens. We tried flea pills we tried drops. We tried bombing our house. These flea collars are the only thing that got the fleas gone off of my cats. And crazily enough the flea bombs that actually worked were the Raid ones from Walmart and not the very expensive ones from the tractor supply store. Just saying, Zodiac flea collars and Raid Flea bombs are the way to go. Just be careful with the bombs read the instructions and make sure that your cats are nowhere in the area of the bombs preferably not in the house at all. I used lots of tape and towels to stuff up doorways and seal everything to do my house a room at a time. Also turn off your air conditioner and unplug any appliances in the room your bombing. It’s a long, hard fight, but it can be won.

Economical, Good Results for Indoor Cats
My indoors-only cats became infested by my bringing the fleas in from the garden, where many strays wander through. One flea can jump 6 feet, and they are heat-seeking missiles. My first line of counterattack was to use Zodiac's spot-on product, along with Capstar (an oral medication that only kills adult fleas). I suspect this combo could be very effective for someone who has just one cat, since the cat can't reach the place between his own shoulder blades where the spot-on goes. But two cats (or more) can work hard at grooming the stuff off of each other. So once the 30 days were up for the spot-on stuff to wear off, I tried these collars. By the way, Zodiac has a nice customer questions email. That's how I found out you can only use either the spot-on or the collar, but not both together. Well, Mr. Licky couldn't lick the collar off of his sister, so it didn't take long for all the fleas to be defeated. Unfortunately, I have to take off one star because one of my cats is allergic to the collar. After a couple of weeks, the allergic cat started having sores on her neck and face. It was nothing like the huge gashes that the far more expensive Bayer Seresto collar gave her some years ago, but it was still ugly. So of course I immediately removed the collar. But it had already killed the fleas. And her sores are healing up fast. I think if another infestation happens, I'll still use this collar, on the non-allergic cat only. I'm still looking for solutions for the other one.

GREAT PRODUCT
So much easier than trying to get the liquid flea & tick stuff in the right place when the animal won't hold still. This is the first time my cat has ever had any kind of collar and he doesn't seem to mind it. The only thing I don't like is that it has a very strong smell. Otherwise, I highly recommend this.

Does not easily break away
I pulled hard and the breakaway doesn’t work. I finally pulled it apart but that’s not safe for my 7 lb cat. Terrible.

Recommended - Works well if combined with other products.
Our indoor/outdoor cat has medium to long fur and 99% of the time we would find ticks around his neck and had to use the tick puller to remove them from the poor guys neck. Since (March 2016) using the Zodiac Breakaway flea and tick collar we haven't found a tick on him and the collar has "broke away" one time while it was on him. I'm not sure how as we found it on the ground. One thing should be noted is that we don't use just this product we also give our cat Capstar pill (monthly/as needed) for fleas and powder him with flea and tick powder (Monthly/as needed). In using the 3 products together, we found a significant reduction in ticks and no fleas on our cat. I plan on replacing the collar in August for maximum protection through the fall season. Tip: We write on the packaging the date of when the last time we gave him either a collar, Capstar, or flea powder so we can keep track of when the month is up. During the winter months, we tend to skip doses on purpose as they are not needed in our climate.

Breakaway cat collars
These flea collars cost a lot less than some other brands but are very efficient preventing fleas on my indoor cat. My cat has had no side effects. Of course they are Breakaway collars for safety and sometimes I have to replace them soon as I would like. However my cat is safe and protected from fleas as is my house. I buy them on a regular basis.
