Nice sturdy pitcher
It's a nice solid pitcher. The lid can be a bit finicky and seal. Cannot pour with lid on. This isn't a kool-aid pitcher. The opening is big enough for me to stick my hand into it to clean it and it pours nicely without making a mess

It will beat your floor in a fight.
This pitcher is well-made, with a tight seal and solid glass construction that's impossible to knock over. However, it is not impossible to drop. If you’re clumsy like me, it will eventually happen and when it does, be prepared to fix the floor. I dropped mine today and it dented my porcelain tile. Fortunately, we are planning to replace the floor anyway. The half-gallon size works well for making sun tea, and it fits nicely in the fridge. It is substantial without being heavy. I do have to remove the lid completely to pour.

Wonderful pitchers; problematic lids
I bought two of these pitchers 6 years ago and I use them every day. I love the size and the square shape of the pitcher, and they are very well-made. Unfortunately, the lids have been a big disappointment. I have had no problem getting a tight seal, but they are made entirely of plastic, are hard to clean thoroughly, and I can't find replacements for them. They seem to be an odd size (3.25" inside diameter, 4.25" outside,) or I don't know how to measure properly - not sure which, and my research has not enlightened me. I requested help from Bermiolli Rocco a few years ago and their response actually made me sad - that is how much I love these pitchers. I asked BR for replacement lids, citing the design flaws and that there seemed to be no way to get new gaskets. They responded by asking me for proof of purchase. That may not seem like a big deal, I could have proved my purchase and probably should have just done so, but it put me off. First of all, I contacted them via the link provided with my Amazon purchase. Secondly, the company must've realized these lids have issues, I knew I couldn't be the first to notice. (Judging by other reviews here, I'm not.) Finally, I would've paid for new lids if necessary, and said so! ...and why would I go to the trouble of scamming someone for *pitcher lids*, anyway?? I mean. At some point, I discovered the lids do come apart for cleaning, which was helpful. However, there is a deep crease in the center that is impossible to get completely clean, and I still don't like that they are entirely made of plastic - BPA free or not - and that there are no replacements available, not even gaskets. I will continue to use the pitchers, which are wonderful, but will have to recycle/repurpose the lids and use stopgap measures until I can come up with a better solution. It's a shame that I couldn't give these wonderful pitchers a glowing, 5-star rave, but the problematic lids and lack of solutions offered by the company have taken a star off this review. Considering the price, I'd have taken off another half star, if it were an option. Such a shame.

Nice pitcher
This product didnt get great reviews, but it is perfect for me. I don't put boiling water in it, and no sudden temperature changes from cold to hot. The lid took me a minute to realize, keep turning until it seals. The arrow isn't the end point. Mine seals so my drink does not taste like whatever is in the fridge.

Heavy duty!!
I have owned this pitcher for 9 1/2 years!! Well made and heavy duty. The best thing I like is that you can insert your hand into it to wash. I haven’t never put it in the dishwasher but it is dishwasher safe. The one thing that I don’t really care for is it’s a little hard to clean the lid but not enough for me to downgrade the rating

Not for practical use as pitcher but good quality for airtight storage
The product is made of thick glass. Looks like good wuality. Kid seals tightly. I expected to use it as a pitcher in the fridge. Having to remove the lid entirely to pour out the contents does not appeal to me. I’m returning it. I gave 3 stars simply because it’s not very functional as a pitcher, even though it presents itself as one. If you need an airtight glass container for storage, and the lid removal is not a problem, then go for it.

It’s actually a keeper.
I was going to return it because of the spout, but then I realized it only spilled if I tried to overfill the pitcher. Which, although it holds a lot, if I fill it to the top it’s heavy and awkward for my old lady wrists. I love the fact that it is glass and I love the way the lid fits. It’s supposed to be airtight but I haven’t tried that out. I just know it seals well enough that no food odors seep into the pitcher when it’s on the fridge. I’m happy with this and will keep it. If they make other similar items with slightly different shape or spout, I’d definitely buy that too. Sorry I was critical at first. Part design but more user error on my account.

Great for making and storing cold brew coffee
I've only had this pitcher a week, so I can't attest to long-term durability, but otherwise it's exactly what I needed for making and storing half-gallon batches of cold brew coffee, which is a strong coffee syrup made by immersing grounds in cold water for 12-24 hours. I was looking for a container to hold the coffee syrup (which is supposed to keep for two weeks in the refrigerator but in our house only lasts about four days) -- specifically, I wanted a lidded glass pitcher that is easy to pour from, easy to clean, and easy to fit in the refrigerator. This pitcher is great on all counts. It has a nice secure feel when pouring. There's no dribbling at the end, and it's easy to control the amount. The top opening is quite large, which makes cleaning easy and also makes it possible to get a muslin bag with 2-3 cups of coffee grounds in and out. The cubical shape stores efficiently in the fridge. I also like the way the lid works. It took me a minute to figure out, but it's quite simple and elegant once you get the hang of it: there's an outer ring you hold still while you tighten an inner ring by a quarter turn. A tubular gasket compresses against the glass, and you only need to close it finger-tight to get a tight seal. I get the feeling it would be a bad idea to crank the lid too hard, but there's no need to try. Opening is an easier motion as the outer ring moves with the inner: basically you hold the handle in the middle and unscrew it a quarter turn. I remove the lid for pouring, so basically the liquid never needs to come in contact with the lid. Before taking the lid apart to wash it, it's a good idea to make sure you see how the four pieces reassemble. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out. (The pieces are an outer ring, and inner ring, the gasket, and a piece that fits across the inner ring to make a handle for turning.) Again, things fit together nicely without requiring a lot of force. I bought this pitcher for a specific need, which it serves well. I believe it would also make a nice gift as it's nice-looking, too.

Excellent Jug
I am very pleased with this jug that I purchased to store my daily water in. It is solid and holds a lot of water but is not too tall and quite compact. It is a solid chunky jug so I’m not too afraid of chipping it. A very good buy, the nifty lid is also very handy.

Good sturdy jug
I strongly recommend this glass jug. It is very sturdy and I bought it after previous jugs broke easily. The lock mechanism is also very good and prevents leaking. One thing to consider is that, due to its thick glass, it can be quite heavy, especially when full. Additionally the handle, while sturdy, might be a bit small for those with thicker fingers and isn't very comfortable to hold. I have two of these and I use one for lemonade/iced tea and the other I use almost every day for water. I keep it sitting at my desk so transporting it back and forth isn't too much of an issue. It holds quite a bit so I don't often need to refill it. For lemonade/iced tea, it is the perfect size for anything from concentrate and also fits most of the recipes I use quite easily. It seems to be fairly good for temperature shock as well, although the product does not mention any specific shock rating so I would be cautious. Overall, I recommend this to anyone looking for a robust, utilitarian jug.
