I bought this in order to run my PS3 through a RetroTink Scaler & get rid of the HDCP protection, it does that fantasticly, I can also power it directly from the PS3's USB. Would very much recommend for anyone using it in a similar scenario, only thing I don't like is how the switch on the front is embedded so if I was doing to run a second input it would be annoying. The metal is nice, wish it was a little heavier but thats nothing major. All in all a 4.8/5 imo but it would be a disservice to give it a 4/5 so 5/5 it is

This degrading splitter was required to derate 4K video from a PTZ camera in order to drive two older projectors and resolved our problems. Well recommended

Bought this as recommended by an article as the connection from my sky mini box to my tv was getting an hdcp error saying my tv didn't support hdcp. This splitter bypasses hdcp and since installing it have not had any issues. It's a bit pricey at £29 but the alternative was to buy a new tv so cheap in that comparison. It's simple to set up just connect your hdmi cable from your device to the input connector and connect one of the output connectors to your hdmi input on your tv and your done. So if your having hdcp errors on your tv buy this, you won't regret it.

*** EDIT*** With assistance from the seller I was able to update the software settings on the device and after a day of fiddling about I have managed to get the device working as needed. I'm now really happy with the finished result. I am using a 4K3D Blu Ray player to power both a 4K (Non 3D) TV and a 3D 1080p Projector. If I play a 3D disc on the blu ray player the TV just says it cant accept the signal but it continues to play in 3D 1080p on my projector. Standard 4K plays fine on both 1080p projector (downgraded signal) and 4K TV (at full resolution). Still only 4 out of 5 stars as the setup was not straightforward and even with assistance I had to negotiate a Chinese piece of software to update the device to the correct settings when I cannot read Chinese! The seller provided step by step english instructions to accompany, but it was still quite confusing. ___________________________________ Original review: In my setup I have a 3D capable 4K Blu Ray Player, which has always been connected to a non-3D capable, 4K TV. I also have a 3D capable 1080p projector, which i've always watched 3D Blu Rays on fine through PS4, with no issue. I bought this splitter because, until now, the PS4 exclusively used the projector and the 4K Blu Ray Player exclusively used the 4K TV, but I never liked the fact that the 3D capability of the 4K Blu Ray Player will never be used. I have added the splitter in the hope that I can have the choice of either watching movies on my 3D 1080p projector or 4K TV, maximising use of the 3D 4K Blu Ray Player. What works: Using the splitter, the 4K Blu Ray Player now connects to my projector and I can play 4K movies to the 1080p projector, which I couldn't do before. What doesn't work: 3D Blu Rays won't play on my 3D capable projector via the splitter. A message comes up on the screen saying that the disk has detected that the player or screen is not 3D capable. Which is annoying because the splitter says it supports 3D, but clearly the 3D signal /verification is being lost somewhere between the player and the projector. I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong here. I've checked the settings on my 4K3D Blu Ray player to see if I need to switch on 3D. It just says 3D mode: 'Auto' or 'off' so it decides if it detects 3D capable displays in other words. Perhaps the player is remembering that the old display it has always been connected to, is not 3D capable. I am not sure but something is not working, and the instructions supplied are of little assistance. Perhaps you can't have 3D if one of the 2 displays isn't 3D capable. But I even tried unplugging the non 3D 4K display and even that didn't resolve it. If anyone can help i'd be very appreciative!

Front switch set to 'COPY1': Outputs 4K 60Hz no problem from a PS4 Pro (RGB and yuv420), along with the downscale toggle switch on the back for 1080p to a second output. No noticeable downgrade in picture quality on the 1080p display and no noticeable input lag. The problem comes when changing the PS4 resolution in this mode (see picture). If set to anything other than 4K, the picture is a mess (for lack of a better word) and the resolution isn't 1080p. Deep colour output is the problem here. If set to automatic on the PS4 Pro, it will carry over as 'on' when switching to 1080p. Turning it 'off' will fix the problem. Not ideal. Setting the front switch to '4K' will force 5.1 audio (at least on my setup) and make Netflix and the like useless using a display with stereo speakers. Sounds effects and background noise can be heard, but no dialogue. The '2K' front switch works well and limits the input and outputs to 1080p. In this mode, 'deep colour' isn't an option on the PS4 Pro so the picture is never a mess. I've also had audio cutting out for two seconds, back on for two seconds, cutting out again. Only resolved by unplugging and plugging it back in. Had the display going off and coming back on a couple of times in a few days for no reason. As an 'advanced' user I've updated the firmware and it made no difference. Last but not least. All cables are short (2 metres maximum length) and fully HDMI 2.0 certified. Connected directly to the 4K display I've had no problems at all with audio or video.

Brilliant works perfect when used with avermedia capture card

Didn't detect my soundbar so can't change from ARC (Dolby Digital) to any of the higher quality formats my system supports

So, I have various input devices including: * A Sky+ box that outputs 720p or 1080i. * An Amazon Fire Stick 4K max (I think that's the one) that outputs 4K. * A PS/4 that outputs Full HD. These all feed into a 4K capable surround amp. I needed to feed both a Full HD TV and a 4K Projector from it. So, I attached one of these splitters to the output from the surround amp. Output 1 goes to the Projector. Output 2 (set to Downscale) goes to the TV. I set the audio selector to 5.1 (cos that's my speaker setup). All those devices happily drive the displays in their ideal resolutions. The Sky+ signal passes through unchanged. The FireTV gives me a 4K image to the projector, and Full HD to the TV. The PS/4 passes its signal through unchanged too, meaning that I can get a FullHD 3d bluray played on the Projector (and presumably on the TV too though I've not tried that). I dunno if you can get 4K 3d blurays? Haven't tested that anyway. Someone mentioned an lag between input and output, but I've not spotted that at all. This thing *does* need a USB socket for power. Always slightly disappointed that they don't make that clearer in the listing (or at least, I didn't spot it). A lead is supplied, but no charger. All in all very pleased with this.

Il m'a permis de contourner le problème de HDCP et connecter mon vieux vidéoprojecteur. Je l'utilise depuis plusieurs mois sans problème.
