I love Russell Hobbs as a manufacturer . This toaster looks good, toasts well and competitively priced. Very hsppy

Bought as a set to replace older/broken items. Good value, for the pair - toaster and kettle. Easy to read cup/water info on kettle; toaster dials OK but feel a bit light to the touch. Hope they'll be OK with wear and tear. I like the blue light on kettle when on; and it boils quickly/efficiently. Length of product life - I'm not able to judge yet, as they're only a recent purchase. Updated! Sadly, after just 3 months of normal use, I'm having to return my toaster, as the spring on one of the toaster slots no longer works. Disappointed!

I bought this Russell Hobbs Honeycomb 4-Slice Toaster to replace a smaller 2-slot model and expand my toasting capacity. At first, it worked really well—the design looks nice on the counter, the extra-wide slots fit thicker bread easily, and the adjustable settings gave me consistently good toast. The high-lift function was handy for smaller items, and the cancel button was useful for stopping the toast before it overdid it. However, after two years of use, it caught fire! This happened just after the standard guarantee expired, and unfortunately, I hadn’t registered for the extra year’s warranty, so it wasn’t covered. Not exactly what you want from a toaster! That said, while it lasted, it did the job well. Pros: ✅ Nice design – Looks great in the kitchen. ✅ Wide slots – Perfect for thicker bread and crumpets. ✅ Adjustable browning levels – Toasts evenly (when settings are dialled in). ✅ Handy cancel button – Stops toasting instantly. ✅ Crumb tray is easy to remove – But fills up quickly. Cons: ❌ Durability issue – Mine caught fire after two years. ❌ Crumb tray fills up fast – Needs frequent emptying. ❌ Mixed toasting speed – Some batches seemed to take longer than expected. Final Thoughts: This toaster worked well while it lasted, but I was expecting more than two years of use before a serious failure. If you register for the extended warranty, it might be a solid buy, but based on my experience, I’d look for something more durable next time. Would I recommend it? Not sure—it’s good while it lasts, but that might not be long enough!

Save your money or the time wasted to return this imposter of a toaster. Cheap Hovis soft white bread is not know for having big slices - say 14cm max, but it sticks out of the top of the slots so cannot be toasted properly. Put it in the other way, and the slice just fits , with a bit of buckling. Perfect if you like your slices short and grossly fat, but for "normal" sliced bread, forget it. Bought to replace a steel Russell Hobbs which has now got a bit of a problem springing it up without a manual lift, this plastic flimsy rattler takes up a substantially bigger area of scarce worktop. The old one was not expensive but we've never had a problem getting bigger slices of bread in the slots, and it's slots have been fine for crumpets, but it's new replacement has got all the dimensions wrong. Short, fat, and plastic. Fortunately it was a no-fuss return to Amazon, albeit via a wasted trip to a Hermes Tesco shop that was supposed to print the label, but contrary to the claims of the websites, didn't have a printer. As so many toaster reviews complain about the things not being designed to take bread anymore, we will have to go to a real shop to check them, you cannot trust the stuff being described online to be fit for purpose. Russell Hobbs should be ashamed of themselves.

Such a disappointment. Can’t use the appliance as it has a UK plug. Purchased on Amazon Au but not suitable for our country. Now for the expense of having it converted.

First class seller even supplied a Spanish plg

Bought this and thought it would be great, but it was sent from the UK so the plug wouldn't work in Australia. To Amazon's credit they gave me a full refund. So I was happy to get my purchase but sad that I couldn't use it. Amazon might need to be mindful of this if they are dispatching from Europe to Australia.

Avec des fentes un peu plus larges que celui que nous avions, se coince quand même toujours avec les petites tranches, fait pour les grandes tranches comme tous, sinon grille fort ..,

Appareil livré avec une prise Norme Anglaise inutilisable ici d'où achat d'une prise d' adaptation entre elle et la prise femelle Norme NF : coût 6,35€ !!
