Worked good for me. I had to take the second pin out because my saw didn’t have the hole. This makes the blade less secure when its closed so you have to be conscious of keeping the blade perpendicular to the stone when you press down. Still worked well and wasn’t difficult at all. Sharpened up nicely.

I purchased this a little over a month ago and the add said it would work with any chainsaw bar - 2 holes or one. This is not true. I don't know how well it would work with 2 hole bar. But it absolutely does not work as it said and showed in the pics if the add. I will be calling Amazon tomorrow to see if I can get my money back. If not I will go buy a 2 hole chainsaw bar and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't - I will be adding to this review. So my bottom line review is that this item is no good. Did not fit my Echo 590 TimberWolf 20 inch chainsaw bar. I had to drill another hole in housing so I could put in a bolt everytime I use it so not as quick to use as advertised. First wet stone chattered with little pressure. Lucky it came with spares.... Still much faster than sharpening with a file

And then it works fine.I have a shindaiwa 18 . There’s holes but they don’t match the sharpener location. I unscrewed the pin assembly on the sharpener and repositioned to match the holes in my bar. I had to replace the screws because the ones that came in the sharpener were way small for the job.Sharpens just great in seconds and ur back to cuttingIf u can’t make sumpin like that happen where you can snap it shut with the pins holed and the tip in range of the stone you’re gonna dislike it.

This product does not work as it is advertised to do. Our chainsaw has only one hole in bar and when you remove the extra pin there is no stability when you run the chainsaw with the product attached. It sounds like it is going to cut the product to many pieces and is nothing but junk. Would not recommend this product to anyone and am sorry that I wasted my money.

I can’t speak for all applications but it did not work on my Stihl chainsaw 18 inch. Once I got it I realized the design was unlikely to work well for what it was intended. It’s a little rickety but the price was pretty low so I’m not complaining too much I should’ve known what I was getting.

Hate hitting a rock and dulling my blade in the field, this is slick, just open and place blade in and close, hold against tree to press sharpening element to blade and give it a few revolutions and you’re back sawing it minutes.
