My dog and cat both went from decent dental checkups to great ones after using these. In fact, my cat got a compliment on his teeth last vet visit. These are affordable and actually do what they say they will. Plus, it is a treat so you can care for them and treat them at the same time. I would not buy anything else because these work so well. If you have a cat you must check out the cat version.

The DentaLife Chews by Purina are excellent! I've given them to my cats & they love the Salmon. Our cats are Seniors & the Veterinarian says they have very little tarter! I would highly recommend these DentaLife Chews.

Wow my cat really loves these treats. Like, reeeeeeeally loves them. After a few months, she was obsessed. Should would just stare at me for hours while I'm working on the computer or relaxing on the couch. She was waiting, patiently and politely like the good kitty she is, but Jesus, I have reason to believe Purina DentaLife was all she could think about. "I love those treats. I hope she gives me another treat. Is that a treat??" She didn't like to be pet anymore, because she wanted treats instead. She made regular circuits throughout the day checking for treats hidden around the house in case she missed any. Long story short, I actually don't give them to her anymore, because these treats made my cat into another cat, and I found that alarming. But the treats are very effective, so 5 stars lol.

Most of my cats love these DentaLife treats. I like that the treats are round and will roll when you toss them so the cats can chase them down. Certain cats love these above all others, though there will be a cat that doesn't care for them as much as the cheaper ones. On that note, price and availability are the only downsides to DentaLife treats: they're more expensive and most stores around here in SE NC where I live don't carry them. Harris-Teeter does, but perhaps due to the pandemic--hoarding? Purina plants working slower?--they're always out. My ratings of Flavor, Scent, and Thickness are based on the cats' responses. (They do smell fresh.) I bought some for my sister and my brother as a Christmas gift for their cats: my sister has an old 16-year-old cat who has grown more finicky in his old age, and she was surprised that he loves them. I only know one cat personally who really seems uninterested in them but who likes other brands. That's a ratio of one in sixteen. Even she will eat one once in a while. Again, the roundness is really good for cats who like to run things down, and mine all do!

My cat loves these things. Quantity is as expected. The picture showed a jar of treats. A bag arrived. My cat will shred that bag in 0.02 seconds. I poured what I could fit into the old jar - then sealed the bag and put the rest in the freezer. Only reason I am dropping a star is I expected a fresh jar as was in the picture - no at all with the quality of the product.

Frankie is absolutely obsessed with these flavor balls. Their spherical shape makes them perfect to chase across the floor, which she does with great zeal. I'm not a feline dentist, but her teeth appear to benefit from their composition. The plastic jar keeps them fresh until they're all consumed, and it makes a handy storage container for spare screws, nuts, and bolts. Pro tip: if you fill an old container with Reese's Puffs, you can trick a misbehaving cat into thinking you're devouring her precious treats. It's a very effective modifier of behavior.

I have not been able to find either flavors of these dental treats anywhere. My vet is quite impressed with how clean my cats teeth are. She is now 4 years old, and I have an giving these to her since being a kitten. I was very disappointed when I could not purchase them anywhere. When I went PetsMart, they said they had been discontinued. Then to my delight, I found them on the Amazon website! I bought four (2 of each flavors). I was very happy given the price of them when they came, that it was actually a larger container then I was purchasing in the stores. So I hope you continue to carry these.
