I was surprised that It worked. I live in an apartment complex. I tried to open the door several times and it would not budge. It’s easy to install. You have to install this on the inside of the door of course. I saw some comments about the outside which would not make sense because the door opens from inside. Good quality item.

I have to work away from home so I was looking for a device that could ensure my privacy and safety and I found this simple and effective tool that does exactly what I needed. I am staying at an Airbnb for work and I wanted to be able to bypass the locks on the doors so even if someone else has a key or code to unlock the door, they wouldn't be able to. This lock just fits into the door lock slot or the striker plate, it has both options, and you put the pin in the slot and slide the wedge plate down snug against the door and it prevents the door from opening. I had my Son test its strength, he is 6' 185lbs, and try as he may, he couldn't budge the door at all. It's made of strong steel and covered in strong ABS plastic to prevent damage to the door under pressure. I have tried many door locks in the past with limited success and I highly recommend this lock because it works. Perfect for travel because it small and easy to carry and it works in the home for excellent protection and peace of mind. I will be buying a few more so I can give them to my family as gifts. Used for quite some time and it held up, till one day it busted right in half. Cheaper quality. I would spent a bit more to get a sturdier one if you're going to get one.

It's very hard to unlock. It jams. If you are in a hurry to get out, like a fire, you're out of luck!

Can the seller please contact me. I’ve tried emailing with no luck Just received this and it’s damaged. The chain is broken off the wedge to the metal claw. See photo. Please replace. I don’t know how you don’t check these things before sending it out. Very frustrating, especially since it’s over $35!
