Uji Ceremonial Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder (3.52 oz)

I love matcha, and this one is really good. I love the fact that it is ceremonial grade and offers very refreshing taste of matcha. They also many tests to make sure it's of highest quality. A small box comes a long way. Definitely recommend.

Edit: seller reached out and offered a refund due to the bad experience - much appreciated, good customer service. Unfortunately, extremely grainy even after sifting and I've tried mixing it both with the traditional bamboo whisk and with a mini electric whisk. It's not clumpy but the drink will be powdery/ you will have matcha powder remaining in your mouth after drinking. This is also the least vibrant green of the 3 matchas I've purchased on Amazon. Naoki and Chaism being the other two brands. Naoki was the best and cheapest of the three. Soar organics is the one on the bottom.

My first Matcha and the only I've ever tasted. It doesn't necessarily taste bad, but I can't say it tasted good either (grass was my first thought). I admit I was expecting something closer to Chai (not even close), so maybe that's affecting my review. As to the froth... if you can move your whisk as fast as a blender you may get some. Now, going to make a cup and go to bed... I have it, it's very expensive, I'm gonna use it. Who knows, maybe I'll like it by the time the jar is gone.

We absolutely love Soar Organics Ceremonial Grade Matcha and the fact it is now available on Amazon.com! I use it as a non jittery energy/metabolism boost in my revitalizing tropical matcha smoothie (a recipe I found on the Soar Organics web page). It's great using a high quality matcha such as Soar Organics because a little really does go a long way! Making it a realistic every day use item too. If smoothies aren't your thing matcha lattes are super easy and delicious using Soar Organics matcha since it has a yummy smooth flavor. It's important to note that this is ceremonial grade (the best of the best): Made from shade-grown green tea leaves harvested and then stone-ground to a very fine powder. This matcha unlike others I've tried, is also good by itself or just mixed into almond milk.

You can really taste the difference with this one. Such a smooth finish, no bitter or lingering after taste. It makes a beautiful and delicious matcha latte! I haven’t had to spend $5-$6 on a matcha latte from Starbucks in months!

This matcha tea had a very strange smell. It does not smell like tea and it certainly does not smell like the other brand of matcha tea I have. I was pleased when I saw the packaging because I didn’t have to worry about spilling tea trying to pour it into the can. The taste is ok. Although, I was apprehensive about drinking it. That being said, it was nice to see a thank you card from the seller. I’ll stick to the brand I ordered previously.

New to all things matcha, Soar is the only 3rd brand I've had. Recvd my package today and brewed my 1st cup right away. First impression it is aromatic, subtle, and clean. Very delicious! The personalized thank you card from the owners is a surprise and a nice touch :) Thank you!

Love this matcha! Such amazing quality for an affordable price.

Upon opening it, it has a wonderful sweet and nutty aroma... I was very impressed and a beautiful dark green. I don’t taste any bitter flavour actually like some people are reviewing. I’m used to organic second harvest. I’ll have to see how this one holds up over time, it’s in the can freely not in a bag, but it’s 30g it’ll be done soon. Lots of reviews commenting on its blend ability, but with all matcha, you have to sift it through a small sieve, doesn’t matter what kind or type of matcha. Sieve it and enjoy. It’s a beautiful process, an immersion of yourself when making it. Would buy again I just cry at the prices for top notch matcha lol

The taste is amazing

Exceptional quality. At $77 per 100g, it offers a complex tasting journey: starts with a deep oceanic seaweed scent, transitions into a pure green tea heart, and finishes with a refined, pleasant bitterness. Minus 1 star because not very sweet, at this price should be more sweet finish…

I am honestly surprised by how good this is. Like, I’m kinda a tea snob. I got this because I was out of matcha and my usual supplier was having some issue shipping from Japan and I got desperate. But this is actually really. Really good. Much better than the other matcha I got on Amazon for sure. The taste is multilayered. Pleasantly complex. There’s the typical grassy notes, the almost creamy nuttiness is pleasantly pronounced, there’s also that nice umami finish people chase. It’s got a bit astringency which I don’t enjoy, but it goes away when I add milk. And now this becomes my favourite matcha latte matcha. The slight astringency mellows out with milk and gives the latte a bright flavour. It’s so incredibly smooth, blends easily with a spoon if you could even believe it. The colour is a very vibrant jade green. It doesn’t froth as well as my other matcha but I don’t mind it. Overall, I really enjoyed this matcha.

The good: Enjoyable matcha overall, nice green color (more green compare to the maeda-en "universal quality" from a local grocery); great savory/umami taste, easy to suspend into the water with a matcha whisk. The tin package looks nice. The downside: It has a slightly strange/astringent/vegetal/bitter after taste (not too bad), it feels a little bit gritty to the mouth (very slightly), and the price is almost 2x that of maeda-en universal grade (yet not taste 2x better, the 2 just taste different) Overall it's pretty good matcha with good umami flavor and good color :) a bit expensive for daily use
