Hi Aaron. This would NOT be very appropriate for that. This filter just stops particulates - basically dust, dirt, maybe pollen, any particle that floats in the air. The filter you want to use for painting and cleaning is termed with "organic vapor". Search for the product named "3M 6001 Organic Vapor Cartridge". That's the type of filter to use for most types of chemical vapors. (Always be sure to read the fine print though.) But that will work for typical cleaning and painting. I personally use that one, and it works really well. (Make sure when you're done to store the organic vapor ones in an air-tight ziploc bag to prolong their life.)

Would this filter resist the Ebola Virus?

According to the cdc, masks rated n95 or better will stop the virus when it is in liquid drops,, ect. If the virus mutates to an airborn varity, then none of these types of filters would work, as the virus itself is two small. The mask is rated p100, which is even better rated then the cdc recommends. It also resists oil based droplets. And is oil rated, that's what the p in p100 stands for

Will this work to protect against N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone, dioxane, and benzene?
