It was good, my mini dacshund ate it just fine. Sometimes she was bored so id switch between them. The lamb caused her black stool but vet said it was okay, caused some gas i believe but chicken and beef were good switch betweens.

My dog's symptoms vanished when I started her on the Hills Science k/d diet
This canine fare is not cheap, but my 14-year-old min pin, recently diagnosed with kidney disease (which, in dogs, is already advanced, typically, at time of diagnosis) ceased and deceased having accidents all over our new house after being on it for a week, and she's been in control of her bodily functions ever since. There's no price on that, for her health, her dignity, everyone's peace of mind, and the sustainability of various new furniture, sheets and mattresses, etc...around our home. The condition, by definition, is degenerative. It can not be reversed, but symptoms can be managed, and diet is the key, I've learned. I'm so grateful for the Hills Science Diet!

Excellent food
Been using this food for 2 years now. My dog is now 14 and doing well. Amazon canceled my last order because they couldn't get a hold of my vet. I buy them elsewhere now, but it is an excellent product.

My veterinarian prescribed this food to help manage my dog's kidney disease. The texture is fine. Unfortunately, it was a total waste of money for us. My dog took one sniff, turned her nose up, and completely refused to eat a single bite. I tried mixing it with other safe foods, but she still wouldn't touch it.This prescription diet is incredibly expensive, so it is deeply frustrating to throw away full, costly cans. I know the nutritional profile is excellent for kidney health, but the benefits don't matter if your pet won't eat it. Very disappointed. It would not be so bad if it wasn't so expensive.

Wonderful product
My pet (spitz) boy was suffering from Acute kidney disease and he completely stopped eating food by himself... After intensive treatment he recovered but my only worry was what to feed him. Then I found this product and it did wonder. He not only eats by himself but also eagerly waits for his next meal... Thank you Hill and also Amazon 💕

Consult your vet before giving this
My dog suddenly was throwing up all the food, so we went to the vet and suddenly she was ok with this one. Need to give in really small quantity but only if your vet approves
