Guaranteed to Work! No Shortages
The only reason I ended up buying this was because my computer uses USB-C, but this cable has been perfect since day one. I still have it. I still use it at work or if I need to connect my camera to my MacBook, this is the guaranteed cable to work. The best part: it never shorts out my connection. Whatever device disconnects to does not automatically or randomly disconnect and then reconnect. I have to physically disconnect this in order for the connection to be closed. This cable is great quality.

Legacy Garmin devices, here is a potential solve.
This cable works perfectly for updating my older Garmin GPS units. It solves the compatibility issues that come with newer computers and older devices, making it easy to transfer data again. The length is just right, and the simple design keeps things hassle-free. It’s a great solution to keep perfectly good legacy Garmin devices working like new. Durability seems good so far, especially since I’m using it at my desk. Highly recommend for anyone maintaining older Garmin GPS models.

Super Niche Cable that just works
In the course of my day at work, I had to run a firmware update on an older piece of equipment. The equipment uses a USB Mini connection, not a big deal, but when I realized that my USB Mini cable had a USB A on the other end, and that my computer now only has USB C ports I had to find an adapter. Nothing worked, not a USB Hub, not a direct adapter, not a USB A to USB C cable. When I connected this cable, my computer immediately found the device and I was able to successfully update the firmware. I mentioned this to the engineer that gave me the instructions and he thought I had cut and spliced a cable. Grateful for those that make these types of cables connecting old to new! I would recommend this to anyone.

Mini USB side was bent out of shape
The mini USB side of my cable looks like it had been crimped too tightly when the cable was made, and so the connector was bent out of shape and was too narrow in the center to plug into the DVD drive. I inserted the end of a pair of scissors into the opening and bent the connector back into more or less the right shape. This worked, but it was very easy to bend the metal, so it is obviously not very sturdy. And the cable itself also seems pretty flimsy. Since it was fairly inexpensive and I do not plan to be plugging and unplugging it very often at all, more or less leaving it stationary where it is now, I suspect it will work ok for my needs. But as others have said, if you need it for mobile use or as a charger that will be plugged and unplugged often, I suggest finding another option.

Cable Upgrade For Microphone
Fantastic cable upgrade, that isn’t as stiff as a board! I bought this cable to replace my old USB-A to Mini USB for my Blue Yeti microphone. Though it was a bit short, it definitely was worth the money. Connection was simple of course, and not only was it a great and streamlined process, but the USB-C fidelity compared to USB-A as far as sound quality is concerned was definitely apparent—at least to my ears. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who uses a Blue Yeti, and is still using the stock USB-A cable. All in all, another great cable from Cable Matters.

Great quality!
I bought this USB-C to Mini-B USB cable to use with my RetroUSB AVS game system. The cable feels not cheap, the ends look good, and it connects firmly on both ends. Gives my AVS the 5v power it needs to run. Thanks.

Very reliable USB-C to USB-B 2.0 cable. Use it for Serato devices to MacBook Pro. Very reliable
I have been using this USB-C to USB-B cable for the last three years and the cables have not let me down yet. I use this cable to connect my 2017 & 2021 MacBook Pro's to my Pioneer DDJ-1000SRT that uses a USB-B 2.0 port. I keep one with the controller and one with my laptop bag just in case I need to connect to any other USB-B 2.0 port when DJ'n. There is no need of a USB-C to USB-A adapter with this cable and I have no connection issues with this cable as long as I owned it. Never had any. connection issues when using Serato DJ Pro connected directly to a USB-C port from the MacBook Pro's. These cables have a great price point. I just bought a third and forth cable to have around the house and one to have in my car just in case I need one in a pinch.

I picked this up to connect my Canon Rebel T7 to an iPad, and it worked just as I hoped. The connection was seamless, and transfers were quick — the cable didn’t slow anything down at all. ⸻ Build & Design: The cable feels sturdy with decent flexibility. Both ends plug in securely with a snug click, and the molded strain relief should help it last through frequent plugging/unplugging. Performance: File transfers were smooth and noticeably fast — no lag or dropped connection. Works well with cameras and should be just as handy for GPS units or controllers that still use Mini-B. Ease of Use: Plug-and-play right away. The reversible USB-C side is convenient, so no fumbling with orientation. Setup was straightforward and it just worked. ⸻ ✅ Pros -> Sturdy cable with snug connectors -> Fast and reliable file transfers -> Flexible and easy to handle -> Reversible USB-C makes plugging in simple -> Works smoothly with cameras and legacy devices ❌ Cons -> Cable isn’t braided, so frequent bending may shorten lifespan ⸻ Final Thoughts: A reliable little cable that does exactly what it promises. Solid build, smooth transfers, and easy to use. Great pick if you still use Mini-B devices and want them to connect effortlessly with modern USB-C gear.
