POND WAS CLEAR IN 2 DAYS
Loved that this product worked quickly to dissolve algae problems and was ECOFRIENDLY to all the creatures living in the pond...THANK YOU SO MUCH Aquascape Barley Straw

Worked in 2 Weeks for 6K Gallon Pond
With an outdoor 6,000 gal pond and a bio filter fed from a bottom sump pump and a second skimmer/brush pump, we have 20 Koi from 2" to 22". Even with shade from Lotus plants, underwater plants and snails, the sludge limited visibility to a few inches. In two weeks with this product, recommended by our local nursery/pond store, our pond is nearly 100% clear, with a natural look, rather than like a swimming pool (crystal clear). I just bought a gallon to save money and will make this part of our normal maintenance.

Keeps pond clear
Really helps keep pond clear, I use it once a week, three squirts in a 1500 gallon pond and does well on keeping water clear

Junk
This is total junk and a waste of my hard earned money. It didn't do a thing for my pond even though I used it as instructed. I'm wondering if I purchased mud water..not barley extract. Anyway, never will I order this product again. I'm being extremely generous with the one star. If I had a choice, there would be no star.

Broken pump.....
I just received and opened the box containing Aquascape Barley Liquid, although I love the product, I'm not pleased that the pump came in broken!

Minimize string algae for my koi pond water health maintenance routine
As part of a bi-monthly maintenance routine, I add this and some beneficial bacteria along with 20% water changes, mechanical filter, vortex, and bog filter cleaning, to keep water crystal clear. The barley helps keep the string algae under control and to a minimum in my 2500 gallon koi pond.

Say good-bye to strong algae
My UV light went out and within a week all I could see was green- then the string algae came… bought this, combined with Nualgi and 3 days later this is my 16000 gal koi pond - since I’ve now installed a new UV light.

Does not work at all, total waste of money.
This product does not work as advertised. It does not clarify the water at all, nor have any visible impact on algae growth. Like other reviewers have said, it seems to not work in summer months, which is exactly when it is needed, so don't waste your money.
