GEEPAS 1.7L Electric Kettle Cordless, Boil Dry & Auto Shut Off 2200W Black

Not very good

As soon as I took it out of the box I was uncomfortable with it's set-up. I can't fathom why on earth the cable would lead from the front of the kettle. If you had to quickly switch off at the plug and socket for any reason you risk scorching yourself on the steam coming from the spout. Anyway, I tried boiling it. It rumbled and boiled, and rumbled and boiled then the lid popped up! Water ran down the outside. The other problems? I really don't know how I didn't notice them before boiling. Where the base plugs into the kettle when you put the kettle down on the base, it's wide open, you can actually see bare wires in the photo, there is only a thin plastic sleeve on the bare wire. Had I had enough common sense to inspect it first I wouldn't have done a trial boil. Also, when emptying the kettle from it's trial boil a piece of plastic came out with the water. It can be seen in the other photo balanced on the edge. It's a piece of plastic broken off the rim. Highlighted with the red arrows. I don't know if this is how these kettles are normally sent out, but certainly this one of mine seems extremely dangerous to me and is going straight back to Amazon. I want to blame Amazon for selling these kettles but that is letting the other culprits off the hook. Is there not some sort of UK check goes on, a check to ensure that when electrical equipment is safe to use and not going to kill someone. Import rules and regulators are more to blame than Amazon because they shouldn't be allowed into the country. If this is standard Geepas quality then I won't be purchasing their equipment again. It's disgraceful.

Good quality product

Stopped working after seven months. Not impressed. However, the seller replaced the item with a new kettle without quibble, so good service from this seller.

Good and fast boiling

When you buy a kettle, you trust it to be safe. This kettle is everything they say, lightweight, easy to use... until you lift the lid to fill it and then you close it. What I did not realize is that it does not close unless you punch it closed. Yes, the first time I used it I did not punch it closed and when I was pouring boiling hot water into my cup it came out from over the top because the lid wasn't punched closed. Luckily I did not burn myself or anyone else in the process

First one I brought stopped working reported to seller sent a video as requested and after 3 weeks received a replacement. . Have had this about 3 weeks and this one has packed up already exactly the same as my first original order ed one . definitely going to avoid this make in the future . Definitely not going to try a third one as this has been going on long enough avoid this make at all costs spend a few quid more and get a decent one

I brought and it stopped working in 4 months and as I stay in Abu Dhabi and there workshop is in dubai and the warranty customer service people said they can’t pick or won’t pay the shipping charges you have to pay, very bad customer service and also bad product deliver from them, even if it’s under warranty they are just ignoring now they are not even picking up the call. It’s WESTIN INTERNATIONAL LLC who deals with Geepas. Very bad service. I think Amazon should ban them from selling any items when they can’t fulfill there warranty needs. Just a cautionary don’t buy if it’s sold from Geepas electronics always go ships and sold buy from Amazon
