Smart and Space-Saving Gun Safe Hangers These pistol hangers are one of those small upgrades that make a big difference in keeping a gun safe organized. These hangers are a huge space saver, I would have been out of room a year ago without them! They have a nice rubber coating to avoid damaging your barrel. Obviously I am still extra careful when hanging them, nonetheless. The hangers do have their limitations but you’ll be surprised at how high the limit is. My 6.5” .357 Blackhawk is good to go, no sagging. So most medium revolvers will hang just fine. But these really come into their own on semi-auto pistols. No issues with a full sized, loaded .45 and all smaller calibers are great too, right out of the box. That is, with the exception of the .22LR. To hang the .22, I did have to bend the rod it hangs from straight. Reason being, the diameter of the rod is just so close to the 22 that there is no leeway and putting the pistol in any direction other than totally straight is not gonna work. No big deal at all, because once altered it’s perfect.

These are for the most part a no brainer purchase if you have a safe, however it only works with shelves that don’t have a support beam underneath it. I have a liberty safe and the shelf I’m going to use for it has a support beam that runs through the center to keep the shelf from bowing. This beam is about 7.75” deep from the edge of the shelf. The hooks are about 10 inches deep which means the only usable areas of that shelf are the extreme edge which can fit about three handguns per side. The whole center section becomes not usable with these hooks. On another note there is definitely one side better off clamping around the shelf and one side for your gun to hang from, so if they droop, flip the hook around. Lastly to note slides with optics will not work with these. I am returning them but not because they don’t do what they claim to do but because I bought the 12 pack and would not be able to use all of them the way my safe is configured.

I love these, and I own many sets of them. They work very, very well, and are easy to install. They're both strong, and durable. I did find one issue with them, and it's interesting to me. In my gun safe I have installed additional shelving. Those shelves were made of 5/9" plywood. Interestingly, the crappy shelves (MDF) that come standard in most modern gun safes is made from 1/2" material, making these hangers a less-than-perfect fit. Truth be told, most gun safes are poorly built, and then sold at a premium. You'd probably do well to chuck all the MDF shelving and replace them with quality plywood. But... this is another issue. Great gun hangers, and very versatile. Makes crowded gun safes easier to work in since they really require no room, at all. The fact that the gun hangs from the shelf above it means that the shelf below can now be used for other things. This essentially doubles your space in the gun safe.

I didn't think it would hold some of my heavier items, but it did. Very happy with this.

They do what they say, but they are bit flimsy and the metal does bend pretty easily. Hope over time they don't bend under any weight and eventually drop a hand gun. But for now, they are working.

The items are very basic bent wire. They are coated to protect against scratching the inside of the gun barrel. They would be better if they had a stabilizer attached so as to keep the hangers from rotating when putting the pistols on and off the hangers.

Dont fit either of my gun lockers or shelves properly... Could have made something up with a coat hanger and duct tape that would have worked better for 1/100th of the price
