Most popular 7รขโฌยณ field hoe will clear brush and roots up to 1รขโฌยณ diameter as well as move dirt for fire line maintenance and trail building. It is also popular with farmers to rogue weeds from their crops. Itรขโฌs 7รขโฌยณ wide by 5.5รขโฌยณ high steel head is glued and riveted to the handle to provide greater stability and longevity and is sharpened on three sides for more versatility. It is available on either our 1-3/8รขโฌยณ diameter, straight-grained shaped Ash or our heavy-duty 1-1/4รขโฌยณ fiberglass handle Review: Excellent tool, makes work easier, Made in USA - This is not your box box home improvement store tool. This is a well crafted hoe that makes work easier. The downside is that if you are used to mediocre tools that require more brute strength to work, it takes a little while to figure out how to let this hoe do the work for you. But once you do, it is a pleasure to use. The tool requires very little force, just a steady, accurate swing, and it cuts in very well. The blade holds up well to abuse...In my case, using this is a sod/turf cutter in rocky soil. Very few dents or dings, and it maintains a good edge. If you are using it really heavily (i.e. hoeing hundreds of square feet, or a fireline), I would recommend a flat bastard or second cut file to dress it maybe once a day. Last: This is made from old disk harrow blades (think 22" diameter used for large-scale farming), so the metal is high quality, and recycled into this tool. It is also made in Kansas. Review: Wow this is a serious garden hoe! - Needed a how to work dads garden, decided that if I was going to help Dad out in the garden I needed a serious garden hoe. Always hated weeding the garden because of the inadequate tools Dad always handed me. This hoe is well made with a size, heft and sharpness that cuts weeds and dirt like butter. desertcart delivered the hoe quickly and without damage to the handle and cutting edges. I donโt expect that I will ever need to replace this hoe but do expect to buy another one in case I can find someone to help me with dads garden. More than happy with my purchase and after weeding a large garden glad I purchased the Prohoe Field Boss.

THE BEST TOOL EVER!
This is absolutely the best tool ever! We bought a house where all the landscaping had been allowed to go to thick tall weeds. We killed them all with Roundup and then had the task of clearing them all out after they were dead. The property is 1 1/4 acre so there is a lot of area to cover. The hoe we had did ok but it took a long time and a lot of muscle to clear an area. The prohoe is so sharp and heavy duty that it just cut through the density with one pass and scraped the ground clean. It made the job so much easier and quicker. I would absolutly recommend this hoe to anyone.

World's Best Hoe ?
Several years ago I purchased this hoe with a wooden handle from a third party company at a considerably elevated price. A few weeks later I visited the Prohoe site and learned I could have purchased it there for a little over half what I had paid for it. I marked that up to "buyer beware" and used the hoe, and quickly learned that it was my most capable hoe. This year my son and I were taking turns using the hoe, so I ordered a second hoe, this time with a fiber glass handle. I immediately noticed that the new hoe was sharpened in a completely different way, to a much shallower angle and was shipped with a warning about the sharp edge and an edge protector installed. This new hoe was vastly sharper than the first example, and I am very pleased and amazed with how effectively it cuts through weeds. I think this hoe would be in the running for the title of "World's Best Hoe". Now I wish I had instructions for maintaining this razor sharp edge.

How Great! It is my most favorite tool
Oh! How Great! It is my most favorite tool. I am even buying several for Christmas gifts since it is so different and outstanding. This hoe gets those nasty weeds out. It is a little heavier than a normal hoe . . but I let the weight and hoe do the work for me. The edges are staying sharp, too. I guard this new hoe so that no one walks off with it! I am using it in my flower and large rose garden.

My Prohoe teaches me to do better work
"A long row to hoe" likely does not mean much to most of us these days. Nearly all the hoes one may purchase at the local home center are perfect for one's aging Grandmother to move a little soil around in her petunia bed. Do any truly hard work with one, and the handle breaks, the neck distorts or the blade bends up on one corner. after our hoe fails us they become an ornament sitting in the garage corner, a testament that once long ago we actually attempted a bit of hard work. My Prohoe Field hoe arrived the other day. After I managed to extricate it from the excessive packaging I held it in my hand... I felt like I had my excalibur, ready to do battle with the Earth. I don't believe I could break the handle if I tried, it is thick, and smooth so it will not harm me either. My Prohoe is lighter than eye hoes I have used in the past, and the blade is stoutly welded on. The blade is slightly arced , and both it and the 90 degree sides are quite sharp affording a wide variety of shapes one may make of the work. In my case I really pushed my Prohoe, I used it to cut a two foot deep terrace in a clay hillside. After a couple of hours of truly hard work our project was done. Where once there had been a slippery clay hill now was a ten foot addition to my back yard. Cut as if a dozer had magically dropped from the sky and expensive contractors had put on all the finishing touches, I can't say enough good things about this tool, it will drag the sweat out of you while teaching you to be an artist in your work. My Prohoe may only be metal and polymers, but if feels like a good partner to me.
