Techko Maid Robotic RM403 Mopping Machine, Silver

I picked this up on Woot for $30 mainly out of curiosity. It was worth the $30 experiment, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.1. It doesn't scrub. As other reviews have said, it's basically a motorized Swiffer. You can put a wet pad on it but the best it does is wipe. So it picks up dirt, but if you have any spots on your kitchen floor you'll have to scrub those yourself.2. It's not truly robotic. If you're expecting any sort of CPU to give this thing intelligence you're going to be disappointed. My BigTrax from childhood was more sophisticated than the Technomaid in many ways. The Technomaid is basically an electric motor with a bumper sensor. It goes until it hits something, then backs up and turns around. The user guide claims that it makes a pattern to ensure total coverage of the floor. The only pattern comes when it hits something and turns. It doesn't have pre-programmed maneuvers and it definitely does not "learn" the space it's cleaning (the user manual makes no claim that it learns).3. It doesn't maneuver very well. The wheels slip sometimes as the unit turns. The bumper also gets stuck, causing the unit to back up and then to quit. You need to tap the unit to free the bumper.So it's a fun toy. It is sufficient for light cleaning. But it's not something you can activate and leave alone and expect it to do a good job. If you're looking for a labor saving device or a serious floor cleaner, I can't recommend the Technomaid.

The machine is poorly designed. I bought the machine because I am disabled and old and needed the help. It wouldn't run more than a few feet and then stop. I was constantly bending over, fixing it and this went on over and over again. It took hours to mop 1 small room. I sent it back to get it fixed and they REFUSED the package. The package was returned, the neighborhood Great Dane found it and tore it to pieces. Probably a fitting end for this "machine". I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy!

Well my crazy mother in law wanted one of these for xmas. She picked out the IRobot brand! Seriously she wanted us to spend 400 on her! Thank goodness we found this one. It works just as great with out having to sell a kidney for it!!!

It definitely picks up all the dust and hair using the swiffer dry rags. It has a hard time moving when using the wet ones though. I think the wet rags make it too heavy. I believe it was supposed to come with some rags but mine didn't... I still love it though!

This is a decent little machine if you can get it on sale somewhere. I'm not sure I would pay full price. It's basically a robotic Swiffer.Cons:- It's pretty loud.- It doesn't seem all that intelligent in its coverage patterns.- Every time it hits a wall or something, it makes a sound like it's about to fall apart. It's just plastic, so it's not that sturdy.- Even though it's a "mopping" machine, it only came with DRY pads. I guess you have to buy the wet ones separately.Pros:- Price.- With a little effort you can use Swiffer wet pads on it.- It completely freaks out cats, so it's got a high entertainment value. :DIf you are in need of something that will really clean your floor, this isn't it. BUT, if you need something you can run a few times a week to extend the time between real sweeping and mopping, it's not too bad.

I used it once and it never worked again. It was after the return period so I had to toss it in the trash.

Love it. Had this before. Its a great help. Works great. A must to have

The machine is so loud and noisy . It should not be on the market, terrible batterie life, last for 5 mins
