SopiGuard Sticker Skin for 2022 Apple AirPods Pro 1st and 2nd Gen Earbuds Vinyl Wrap (3M Matte Black)

After the installation, I have to say, I am impressed with the look and the ruggedness with the airpod wraps. I wanted to try them out in the field first, before doing a review, to see if they would come apart or to note any other opportunities, but they held up great. I took the liberty of using some of the excess wrap to cover more around the air pod in an effort to try to black it out as much as possible. Take a look at my photos. Now, when I wear them around town, they are not as obvious. In regards to the installation, it is a little tricky. You could use a hairdryer, but I used a heat gun to apply. Once you get the wrap in place, you can use the heat gun to mold it to the airpod. Make sure you do not apply too much heat, just enough to get it to form. It took me a couple of tries, but in the end it was worth the patience and effort. The wrap holds on nicely and has not peeled or come off as of this review. I recommend this product if you're interested in changing up your airpods. They give you two sets, so you're good to go in the event you need a backup.

PROS: • Comes in 2-pack in case the 1st installation fails • High quality material • Enhances the appearance of the AirPods, and matches well with a black case cover • Provides some level of protection from accidental drops CONS: • Adhesive is horrible, and some lifting around the edges after first day of installation (see photos) • Minimal coverage, and would prefer if the skin wrapped fully around the leg of the AirPod since that's the area touched the most • Installation was rather difficult, especially around the top rounded portion

The brightly-colored vinyl skins are a good idea for distinguishing among different AirPods. They are difficult to install and did not conform evenly to the surface of the AirPods Pro 2 earbuds. A hairdryer or heat gun is required for installation but there are still noticeable wrinkles in the surface of the skin. There are two sets of skins but the cost and installation issues do not justify the price and problems that I had. I recommend that you do not purchase this product.

I was hesitant to buy these because the reviews were pretty bad, but I saw some that said you have to follow the installation video to make sure you do it right. I was able to apply them perfectly in just a few minutes today after watching the video, with a hair dryer on high heat. I'm leaving a 5-star review because I hope others who might have been deterred by bad reviews will look past them to get this product, which I find far superior to the other that I tried. I bought these after putting on SkinIt's AirPods Pro skins and finding that I couldn't fit the AirPods back into the charging case because the thick vinyl covered the sides of the stem and also blocked the magnet. After forcing one into the case and almost not being able to get it out, I cut off the sides of the SkinIt skins and it worked better, but didn't look great. These SopiGuard skins are thinner (a good thing), smoother, easier to apply, cover more of the earbud and less of the stem, so they still snap perfectly back into the charging case. Also, you get two pairs, so give one to a friend, or use one as a backup if you mess up application. (But you won't mess up the application as long as you've watched the video and use a hair dryer...I was able to take off and reapply like 5 times by keeping the heat on the decal.)

Highly recommend to have good patience and a heat gun or blow dryer to install to reduce wrinkles. So far looks way better and a bit easier to attach than its SkinIt Rival. Not 100% perfect but looks good for what it is.

It barely was sticking and it wasn’t installing correctly. I don’t think I would purchase again. I had a better quality one with another seller.

Perfectly good skins. Love the rich color (glossy wine red), looks great with my burgundy/wine case. I followed instructions with great care, ended up with one tiny flaw on each, but I’m not concerned. A 2nd set is included, so I can replace the 1st set if necessary. If they begin to lift or peel, I’ll update my review. So far, they look great. UPDATE Feb 2022: These lasted almost two years! The tiny flaws remained tiny, barely visible, and never lifted or got worse. Well, eventually, the edges started to go wibbly, but that seems to be normal wear & tear after nearly 2 yrs of frequent use. I still have my 2nd pair. I highly recommend these skins. Just be sure to follow the instructions, work carefully, slowly, and with patience.

Theyre ok! I had deep scratches on my right bud from a drop on pavement so wanted this to cover that up and I think its done its job but dont know how long they stay on. I got them on first try with blowdryer which is only way to get the bubbles out. Overall not too bad wish I bought different color. UPDATE. I BOUGHT THESE ON FEBRUARY 24th 2020 and it’s now October 31st 2020 and these are still holding strong never came off and I wear these allday in a machine shop 40+ hours a week and look as good as they did day I put them on! I’d have to give it 5 stars now! Very pleased and ready to get a new color to change it up! I’d definitely recommend these to anyone!

The film is extremely sensitive; any attempt to stretch it results in a poor fit. And the adhesive quality is subpar, making it difficult to apply without multiple attempts, which only weakens the film further. (The installation process requires great effort and care. And since there is no step-by-step installation guide on Sopiguard’s website, it becomes even more frustrating.) Years ago, I bought a similar product for my first-generation AirPods. Over time, that film peeled off due to sweat and moisture buildup… I had hoped this newer version would be an improvement, but it seems to suffer from the same issues. While having a protector is better than nothing, this product falls short of providing reliable protection.

Ordered for glossy blue but got the mate blue..and it does not perfectly align with AirPods Pro 3..absolutely not happy with the product…
