Philips Norelco OneBlade Face + Body, Hybrid Electric Trimmer and Shaver, QP2630/70

I was surprised when I managed to open the package (not altogether easy...) to see that the mains plug which comes with the charging lead (and you have to charge it for a few hours before you can do anything with this device) is intended for the North American market. This is echoed by the folded-up user instruction sheet - this seems to be a grey import and I shudder to think what Philips in the UK would say if I tried to register it for warranty, let alone claim under the warranty (or the 45 (I think) day money-back deal ..). The device is still charging so cant comment on the battery life or ease of use!

Arrived with a US charger so doesn't fit UK power outlets. Otherwise the product is as expected.

the product is fine but it was delivered damaged - with one of the blades broken and the charger also broken and not working

Very impressed with the shavers ease of use. Attachments are easily put on. Shaves fairly close, but not as close as a razer. Did a great job of removing 3 weeks of beard growth. Easy to use as a shaver or beard trimmer. Next to impossible to cut yourself like a razer. Small, light, charges fairly fast.

Bought this to do detail trimming around beard. Also to use for "personal" trimming. I was surprised how close this thing can shave! Much better than I expected! I can quickly trim around my beard, cleaning up the ragged edges. Good enough to get by without putting a razor to it to finish off and look good. If I am going formal I would use the razor to finish it perfect, but most of the time I don't need it! I tried the stubble guides & they work fantastic! Wish I had found this in spring, when I was thinning my beard down. It works super fast and accurate, can't wait till spring comes again, cause getting the stubble look will be so easy compared to my old trimmer! The battery seems to last forever on a charge! Maybe because it is so easy & fast to use. I charge it so seldom, I have to hunt for the charger. The replacement blades seem pricey, but mine last much longer than regular blades, so I think I am probably spending less on them. I don't care though, this thing is so nice! Now, the other reason I got this was to try it as a "personal" trimmer. You know, to get the crotch hair under control! Literally every scissors, trimmer or razor I have tried to use to trim my crotch area, no matter how slowly & carefully I worked, I have ended up cut, nipped, and bleeding, sometimes in multiple areas. I had pretty much given up on taming it. I saw that some guys said this works great. I decided that at the least, another beard trimmer wouldn't hurt, as I don't really like mine all that much. And if it works as a personal trimmer too, great! WOW! Cautiously, I tried it, and it trimmed around there with NO nips, cuts, or scrapes!!! If I were reckless I might be able to hurt myself, but there weren't any problems while being moderately careful! I was even able to trim on my rod, which is as scary as it gets! And I was surprised how close it would trim! FINALLY! A personal trimmer that ONLY trims the hair! If you are looking for a trimmer for the stubble look, this is great for that. If you are looking for a personal trimmer that isn't out to maul you, GET THIS ONE!

Pretty good product overall, does everything as advertised. Only thing for people not living in the US like me (Singapore), take note that it's a US plug so you'll need a transformer/converter to make it work with you. It's a pretty common thing if you buy overseas electronics, but I totally forgot about that when I made the purchase.
