DryTec 1-1901-12 Calcium Hypochlorite Pool Shock, 1-Pound, 12-Pack

My go-to for keeping the pool crystal clear. Doesn’t raise CYA and packs a solid dose of calcium hypochlorite for an effective shock every time.

This is a good value because the total available chlorine is higher than most brands. Chlorine has become unbelievably expensive!!! Double what it cost just a couple years ago. But despite this, the lower content brands didn't work very well. It might be a bit more expensive, but it's stronger and works better. Update 4/22/24: Just ordered again. Good stuff!!

Great product, excellent customer service

I was using HTH for years, but last season the changed it to be "softer on the eyes", well it now sucks. I found this and it worked great one bag a week as needed, crystal clear water!

Great value. Works too

This keeps the water clear, but doesn't dissolve easily. I believe this product puts bromine in the water along with chlorine. Many pool test strips do not check bromine levels. I have some spa test strips that say the bromine level is high. This isn't an issue if it's kept within normal amounts.

So far so good. It’s holding up so far even in the winter. I snow blowed over it a few times already and it did not come out.

First off our pool is located in an area where it gets lots of leaves. Been using Dry Tec for 2 yrs. and it works perfect. Keeps the alga growth under control with minimal effort from me (the pool Keeper). I have compared it with other brands of higher price. Dry Tec still the best. I definitely would recommend.
