4-piece rod holder doesn't have 4 sections.
Advertised as a holder for a 4-piece, 9' rod but is divided internally into 3 slots. I'll need to get a rod sock anyway since at least two rod sections will bang around together in transit. Also, the dividers are thin nylon so I don't anticipate a lot of protection is provided. Overall, the case appears sturdy enough for how it will be used and has adequate padding at each end.

Nice case
I have a few of these cases now and they work great. I use them in my kayak and boat all the time. Easy to get the rod out and stores away beside the seat in my kayak so it is out of the way. I recommend this product especially if you take your fishing rod to remote locations.

Exceptional quality
I bought this three piece fly rod case for my 8 year old grandson and found it to be better than any of my cases. The quality is exceptional. Comes complete with sleeve liners and the lid zips closed tight. Good quality.
