These are a terrific replacement for the old-style Clairol or Remington hot rollers. I was skeptical, but having used them at least a dozen times now, I can attest they are easy to use, the clips hold the rollers well, even though they look too skimpy to do so. They heat nicely and give long lasting curl.

I haven’t had hot rollers in decades and decided to get a set and this was a great set for me. It has enough of the bigger rollers. I think there’s like six of them. I ended up maybe not even using all of them and then the mediums and I don’t think I touched any of the small ones I have shoulder length hair. It worked great for me. Super simple. There is no on/ off button that I can tell. I literally just plugged it in and it lit up and takes about 10 minutes or so to heat up. the one roller has a dot that will change colors when it’s heated and when it’s cool it’s a different color so you just keep an eye on that. I realized the pins themselves are different sizes to fit the different size rollers. Each pin has a colored dot at the end to indicate which size roller it fits. Very easy to use. The rollers were hot. I would say not too hot to damage hair. The inside where your hair touches is like a soft felt material.

I just received this roller set this evening, and I tried it right away. I noticed a hot plastic smell, which I guess is to be expected. It heats up relatively fast, although not as fast as my curling iron. I like that I can set my hair, then do my makeup while the curlers do their work. They did a good job curling my hair. We'll see how long the curls last. The two negatives: no automatic shutoff (which would have been convenient), and NO place to put the J-clips, unlike any hot roller set I've ever had before. Fortunately, I have a slot to put them in my makeup tray, but it would be a lot more convenient in the unit itself, especially for traveling.

Bought these 10 years ago. Still work great. For ladies who want some curl to their hair (soft curls), that do not get uncomfortably hot, I highly recommend these. Curling irons require too much work and can burn if they get too close to the skin. This is a much better choice for comfort.

I bought these hoping that the small rollers would fit in my short hair. And they actually do. They heat up fast & the clips hold the rollers in place really well. They are exactly what I was looking for. The set is well made. And has enough rollers for someone with long hair. The case & rollers are very bright pretty colors. The case is compact enough to fit on small sink.

What I like about this product? Yes, the rollers do achieve a good curl. They heat well; about 10-20 minutes for full heat. The case is convenient for travel. I liked that the pamphlet provided tips on how to roll for a specific style. I did Amazon pickup and the process to pickup was flawless. Just wish there was a closer pickup location to my residence. What I don't like about this product? It is not feasible for women with thick, coarse hair; especially black women. I have thick, coarse hair so to achieve a good silky curl, I had to straighten my hair (includes blow drying AND using my Chi iron) then roll. That is a lot of heat for one setting. Also, with my hair being so thick, I had to roll in sections because there are not enough rollers to roll my entire head in one sitting. Once the rollers cooled, I removed them & put them back to heat again (another 10-20 minutes) before I could start the next section. This is time consuming to achieve curls. It would be better if there was a larger unit with more rollers to accommodate those with thick, long hair. This way we could roll our entire head in one sitting. The instructions say NOTHING about how to clip the color coded wire roller pins. *TIP: DO NOT attach the wire roller pin with the longer side facing your scalp because the heat from the roller heats the wire pin and WILL burn your scalp. Yep, I burned my scalp!! Thanks for including clear instructions; NOT. Also, it states the roller has cool touch ends; not true. You do feel the heat on the ends so you better be quick about rolling & pinning. Would I buy again or recommend? Only if there was a larger unit with more rollers. For all I had to do to achieve a curl, I was better off using flex rods and sitting under a dryer. This product is more for needing a quick refresh, IMO.

Love these rollers! I have wavy, frizzy hair. I have to blow it dry and it only cocontrollingstays straight 30 minutes 🤮. With these rollers I blow dry my hair, then use hot rollers…after 20 minutes I remove, and using a little frizz control product run it through my hair, and style with my hands only. It stays great all day, next day all I do is use the hot rollers, and repeat. This process works for me for about 4 days, or until I was my hair.

The number and sizes of rollers are just right for my short (4-6”) hair. However, because the rollers are hot, I hold onto the end caps as I roll up my hair. So some of the end caps have come off. I tried gluing them back, but they don’t stay. I’m trying to find a way to fix this problem as I use almost all the rollers everyday. I wrote the company, but I haven’t heard anything back. Other than this problem, this roller set works very well for me. I don’t see any other brand that meets my needs, so I trying to make this set work.

This Remington ionic hair setter heats up quickly, is simple to use and creates smooth curls with good hold. The rollers feel gentle on the hair, the clips keep everything in place and the ionic feature helps reduce frizz. It works well for adding volume or loose curls and is convenient for getting ready at home.
