Celestron 93573 Dielectric Star Diagonal 2" with Twist Lock

I wanted this for my 8" Edge HD scope but all UK astro retailers had run out of stock, and wanted £280. On Amazon UK this showed as a US import but even with VAT, import duty, and 72 hour delivery it was still £30 cheaper than UK outlets. Fits the scope perfectly, and delivers stunning optics. Nice tight grip on eyepieces, even the 31mm Luminous which weighs over a 1KG!

Looks and performs great. Solid construction gives great confidence. Easy to attach and use. Definitely worth the upgrade expense over the standard “kit” item sent with the telescope.

This diagonal is a hefty piece of kit that oozes quality. Everything about it feels well engineered. The Twist-Lock mechanism holds eyepieces firmly and is so easy to use in the dark. Although the diagonal can be screwed directly onto the back of my Celestron Evolution C9.25, I use it with the 2" nosepiece supplied so that I can also swap it onto my other scopes easily when required. In use, the views it provides are as good as, if not better, than any other 2" diagonal I've owned. The orange colour also matches the orange livery on the C9.25 scope and mount, so you know you look good in the dark ;-).Highly recommended.
