Swaged about 10 joints so far and tolerances were good. It also worked well to slightly swell an inside tube for a tighter fit on a sloppy factory swage.

This is a great item!! Instead if using a coupler and making 2 braze points this only has 1 braze point. Anyone that has to braze or sweat copper will understand the less places you have to braze or sweat the better odds you have to not get a leak! Very easy to use and seems to be durable. It has lasted almost 2 years now and still functions great!! The sizes fit perfectly for what you need!

This tool is compact, affordable, easy to use, and has worked reliability for making 200 joints between 3/8" and 7/8".It is possible to over-expand the tubing before the cone stops, so some technique has to be developed for the tight fitment that results in the strongest joints.

Does exactly what it says. I use this for band instrument repair. The "correct" method requires a $500 tool. If you're careful it works great. I don't know how well it would hold up for heavier long term work but seems incredibly well made for the price. Very pleased. Fast shipping great vendor.

I accidentally deformed the 3/4” connection on a heat pump. This tool was a life saver. I was able to connect the heat pump to the line set with ease after using this swaging tool.

Works better than the Hilmor. Been using it daily for a few months with no issues.

I bought this set in 2020 it still works in 2026. Definitely recommend this swager over brand names. I have abused this this thing and now have had it so long its sentimental. Clearly a winner unless they changed the design completely since 2020.

Some previous reviews commented that this tool split the copper. They are correct to a point. If the copper isnt soft or hasnt been annealed before hand then yes it will split. I tested it out on a few old rolls I had in my shop. Split every time. That being said, these rolls where sitting in my garage for anywheres from 3 to 10 years. Its a known fact that soft rolls of copper will harden over time if left unused. Especially if the rolls have been left to the heat and cold of seasonal changes. I took another old tube and annealed it before swaging. Perfect job!In conclusion, don’t blame the tool for cracking a tube. Know your copper. If its been sitting around for a time or you feel that the coil is a bit stiffer than you remember then assume its hardened and anneal it before swaging.All in all a great tool to hav in your shop or truck.

Lasted about a week under heavy use not good for instsllers

Honestly, I have no complaints whatsoever. This thing works beautifully, simply, and well.It's one of those things where I wouldn't have bought if not for Amazon's generous return policy because I wasn't sure how well it might've worked. But I'm glad I did, because it did everything I needed it to flawlessly.
