For my needs, this bowl is not just for cats. i got an 8 month old puppy in September and was having some problems with him eating consistently. He is a cavalier king charles spaniel and then weighed 15 lbs. At first i couldn't find food he consistently liked, he was very thin. Eventually other breed owners on facebook recommended raw meat feeding, that sounded too hard, i was afraid i would get it wrong, not remembering when i thawed something, that kind of thing, but i mentioned it to a vet i was seeing and he gave me samples of a couple of kinds of raw food, and one of them was dehydrated, not frozen, it didn't have to be refrigerated, it was like kibble in that way, vet's office advised softening it with warm water though it can be eaten as is. My dog was crazy about it from Day One (they make it for cats too, i once accidentally got the cat version on Amazon). But i didn't have a good bowl for mixing with water, i needed a smaller less flat bottom, and a smaller bowl, otherwise the food and water couldn't mix well or have a good consistency. i searched Amazon to no avail, all the bowls had wide perfectly flat bottoms. it didn't occur to me to look at cat bowls. Eventually, i stumbled onto this bowl and i could see from the picture that it was just what i need. Other bowls had sharp corners where the flat bottom met the sides. This one was more curved so that it wasn't hard for him to lick the bowl clean, nothing getting stuck in sharp corners. The size is perfect for the servings i give him. This was like a miracle. i soon got a second bowl to always have a clean one, while the other one is soaking. So user friendly. I broke one of the bowls when i was rushing to not be late for an appointment, i accidentally knocked it off the counter top. it was shattered. i got another one and now i'm going to get one more so i will have three. The bowl is very well made and wonderfully designed, i like the white color, easy to see left over stuck on crumbs, so easy to clean. These bowls have made me happy :)

Great product. We feed our cat a very wet food with some added water. The only regret we have is not getting the next size up, and we have simply adjusted the amount of liquid we use. The finish on this bowl is easy to clean and has survived a few drops in the sink from our little helper. If or when we need a new dish for our cat, we will be going back to this brand. Well worth the bargain price

Our kitty just turned 9 and was on dry food until this year, due to health problems we switched him to wet food and we realized that he had no idea how to bite food to get it into his mouth. He would just try to lick it off the serving dish. It is no exaggeration that we have tried over 15 dishes to try and help him with this problem, Pie plates, tart pans, cake pans, casserole dishes, salsa dishes, odd shaped ones from thrift stores, plates and bowls of every size and even just on a mat, on the floor, either he'd lick the food off the edge of the dish and onto the floor or he'd lick it to the edge of another dish and scrunch his nose and whiskers into the side to try and get it. This dish helps him tremendously!!! its just the right angle and curve that he licks it to the back of the bowl and then it goes up the back slightly and falls into his mouth on the next lick. We think it's even teaching him to catch that last bit and start to use his teeth to pick up more bits. We bought the 5 inch bowl and it's a little small, but works for him. We use half of a 2 ounce can of food and add some water to it and when i did a full 2 ounce can the first time there was not enough space to add the water without it dripping out the front lower curve of it. It turns out he can't finish a whole can anyways, so going to a half can has been perfect in this size bowl and for our cat. I also dropped this dish in the sink the very first time I washed it and it just chipped slightly on the very bottom ring, the bowl feels like a really good quality, it didn't crack or anything like that, so it's not a delicate bowl that I have to be super careful with and I like that as I tend to have the dropsies a lot.

Vomiting is not as often - could be a little deeper as food does easily fall out.

My cats love these food dishes. They are a perfect height and even the smaller size is large enough for a small can of cat food. They are easy to wash and I've noticed my cats don't vomit as often since I started using these dishes. I have three and wouldn't hesitate to buy additional dishes. They are fairly sturdy but be careful washing them because they are ceramic and can chip. I wouldn't use them as water dishes because they do not hold much liquid due to the slant. I purchased another non-slanted raised dish for water.

Love these bowls. great height so cat doesn't have to strain on his throat, must have. and I highly recommend cute as well.

I have two of these YHY cat dishes. The older one has some chips in the rim and I have only ever hand washed it. The graphic image of the cat face and text is still legible, just a bit worn. This particular bowl (from the same manufacturer/ seller) is sturdy, has the proper tilt for cats to easily eat from it. I have had the bowl for three days and put it in the top rack of the dishwasher. The graphic cat face inside the bowl was bleeding black all over the white China. I wiped it gently with a damp paper towel to get the ink or ? whatever it is they used off the food surface. The image of the cat face is no longer sharply detailed and black, it’s rubbed half off with white showing through, the text bubble “Yummy!” Is also no longer sharp and black. The bowl looks like it’s had years of use. Obviously the graphic must be on top of the glazing on the white china bowl. I’m afraid to feed our cat in the bowl. Who knows what the graphic is made of and it’s not water or food proof if it’s going to bleed off the ceramic. The product was impeccably packed in a special box that was made for it. It arrived in perfect condition. There was no warnings to “hand wash only”. I’m disappointed and I hope that whatever the graphic was made from isn’t toxic to cats.

Bought this for my small dog because of shape of dish but it is actually a cat bowl. It’s so cute and the tilted bowl makes it easy to eat from & is great for dog or cat!

Per il gatto ormai uso Tutte cose di ceramica che sono si più delicate ma si puliscono molto bene. Questo prodotto l’ho preso per mettere acqua e mi va benissimo perché alto e capiente. Inoltre l’acqua non lo rovina come accadeva con prodotti di plastica.

We are so happy we bought these bowls. Very sturdy for a kitten who likes to play with their water, like ours does!! It's also great to know how much water she drinks!!!
