Chef-O-Van Food Coloring, Red, 4 Ounce

I actually bought this to dye some sisel rope that I was putting on a cat scratcher. Didn't want to use real dye because I was afraid it would be toxic, so I booked the tan rope, poured in about 1/3 of this bottle, and let it simmer for an hour. Then after it cooled, I poured it into a bucket that I let sit for about a week to soak. The rope is red and now my cat furniture matched my furniture. Great price, did the job, thank you. Would definitely buy again.

Our need was simple but the selection of red dyes is kind of confusing when reading the reviews. I don’t know much about these things, and I’ve never heard of this brand. I bought based on evaluating the reviews. My wife worked with this so my review is based off her work, not mine. We used it to create a red drip made of only this red and corn syrup on some cupcakes. It was a bright red that looked great against white cream cheese icing. No weird chemical flavor or problems with it at all.

needed red food color for chinese bbq pork, hard to find in the grocery stores at a reasonable price so I got this from amazon. works great but like all rfc packaging it ends up everywhere. messy.

It works very well in making red velvet cake. I got a very red presentation without having to put in more than two table spoons. I put three table spoons in to my chocolate cake mix to make that into a red velvet cake and it still turned it pretty red.

Best deal I could find. I make chinese food enough and I make that Chinese Pork which I find makes the meal more special both taste and visual appeal .. I just take red food color and sesame oil and put it on pork chops and bake it (well, now air fry it which is just like baking w/o having to turn on the over (great for me since I no longer use a microwave oven). Just let the pork cool before adding it to food or your likely to have pink food. Its great in Fried Ring, Egg Fu Yung ... Stir Fry, just about anything. I use a back of a spoon or baster to smear it on both sides of the pork. Egg Fu Yung is so addicting !! I had a bit of the typical red food color in the store and was going to and tried to compare strength of color .. ha ! What a mess and a joke. I was going to try the drop method on a paper towel ... I just goofed it up... and got it all over my hands .. which actually didnt take that much to get off with a scratch sponge and Dawn.

Ok my friend told me about this red coloring. And she is right. It is amazing. I haven’t been able to actually achieve a real red color until now. I used half of a bottle of gel coloring on another brand and still couldn’t get it a true red. I used this yesterday. Less than 1 tsp into a half batch of frosting and it’s the most beautiful red color. And I noticed overnight the color deepened on my cookies. Best purchase! My children sure enjoyed frosting the cookies.

I read the other reviews and decided to buy this product although I really did not need this big of a bottle. I was not disappointed! I made a red velvet Bundt cake for my daughter's birthday, and it turned out so yummy with a nice red color to the cake. I highly recommend this food coloring.
