Ellie and Logan's love story begins one hot August nightโฆ My mom betrayed me in the worst way possible. I can't forgive her, but I can outwit her. I'm going to unravel the family secret she's been keeping from me my whole life. So I'm going to college across the state from her, to the place that has the answers. I hope. But I have to be careful or I'll blow everything. I can't tell anyone what I'm doing. I didn't mean to fall in love. I can't afford to give my heart away or open up to anyone, least of all charming, rich, former bad boy baseball star Logan Walker. But he looked so adorable sitting there nursing a black eye the night I met him at my very first campus event. The way he held my hand made me flush in the suffocating heat of August and feel really beautiful for the first time in so long I can't remember. My scar didn't even hurt. But Logan's moods are mercurial. He's keeping secrets of his own that are too dark to share, even with me. We agree to be just friends. But our hearts and bodies have minds of their own. Before I know it, I'm in too deep with him and the answer to the family secret I came to campus to find may be the thing that tears us apart. Review: Reckless Longing : A Contemporary College-set New Adult Romance - This book was amazing to read. There was so much more to this book. It was exciting to see how the story was unfolding in this book. The author did a great job in writing this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This book had it all romance, drama and sex.ENJOY Review: Reckless Longing is a great story, with so many 5 star parts. - Reckless Longing is a great story, with so many 5 star parts. I loved Ellie and Logan, I loved the parts of their lives that they had to deal with, and I loved their romance. With just a few tweaks on small issues it could easily catapult to the next level. The story and the romance: This story was about Ellie and Logan, and the serious baggage weighing each them down individually. While the attraction they felt for each other was undeniable, they both knew that โright nowโ wasnโt a good time for a relationshipโฆnot until they sorted things out in their own lives first. However, they were so at ease with each other that it just felt so right. I wanted them to just go for it! The chemistry between Logan and Ellie was pretty tasty too, and I really canโt wait to see how it goes from this point. While they did have a few *a-hem* moments, I really feel like it was all a build up for the smexy reward weโll get in book 2. ; Pacing and Style: This story was told only through Ellieโs eyes, so we never knew exactly what was going through Loganโs head, although we could guess most of the time based on his actions. So much of this story was told in a natural way, a way that had me slowly getting to know the characters, and I loved that. But then parts of the relationships were sped up based on one or two conversations and those parts seemed out of place (I will discuss that more later). Title/Cover: Both are just OK. As far as the title goes, I get the โlongingโ part, but not quite the โrecklessโ part. Neither one of these characters were reckless at all to me. Logan was definitely reckless a few years earlier, but it seemed like he was in total control of his actions when this story took place. As far as the cover goes, I donโt really think the guy seems very hot, it might be the angle, but I want to see a little scruff. He just looks too photo-shopped and airbrushed/waxy/plastic-y for me. Twists, Turns, and Secrets: Well, we knew there were secrets, but only were privvy to them a little bit at a time. I knew Ellieโs mom hadnโt treated her well, but didnโt know the extent of it for a while. (It was bad!!), and I knew something happened to Logan, but didnโt get all the details until later as well. Ending: One part ended in a happy place, but another part was definitely open-ended and I canโt wait to see what happens. Thank goodness for book 2! What Made Me Love This Book: I fell in love with this story because of Logan and Ellie, and their love that is so true and real. I just honestly liked them both so much alone and together. I also loved how each were so strong, even though they felt broken on the inside. They held their heads up no matter what, and just forged on, which made me respect them so much. The parts that didnโt quite jive for me: (WARNING! COULD BE A LITTLE BIT SPOILERY) Ok, so this part is going to lay out why the story isnโt quite a 5 star for me. Austin: She forgave himโฆjust like that? After all the โheart breakโ? And he surprised her with a visit, it wasnโt like she had been planning on forgiving him. It just seemed like it came out of nowhere and it was hard to believe that she really made peace with it. Loganโs Dad: That part was tough. I didnโt like how Ellie told him off (she was really rude and it wasnโt her personality). It was like a light switch went off in his head which led him to apologize to Logan, and all was right in the world? No way would that have ever happened. And Logan just accepted the apology? My head was spinning from that section. Jason: Why didnโt Lyssa know? He seems like such a stand up kind of guy, yet is keeping this MASSIVE secret from his wife. Mom: Did Ellie really cut her off? I needed some closure with that relationship. Dex: He obviously likes her, this wasnโt addressed at all. Will it be? I love him though and hope he finds a girl to make him happy! Final Thoughts/Rec it? YES, this is a great start to the series. I fell in love with these characters and really want to see them through to the end to make sure they get their HEAโs

Great Read
I have this book five stars, because it was a great story. It was written well, and it flowed. It had an awesome storyline, which had me saying aww from the beginning. Wish I could have gotten their entire story instead of a cliffhanger ending though. I'd recommend this book and I looked forward to reading the other books in the series.

Rather disappointing...
This book was pretty cool. I liked that it had a bit of mystery to it and I must admit I was a tad intrigued. The blurb kind so set me so but I was caught by a quote which was the driving force to me reading this. Though there was a kind of a puzzle to figure out, I totally figured out the entire plot within the first 15% which was disappointing. I was hoping for more and if not more, as in substance then more as in words. Like seriously she didn't need to stretch this book in to a series?? Jeez Louise, sometimes eh! But I digress. Apart from the transparent plot and okayish characters (btw I'm in love with Dex!) I really enjoyed reading this it was light and nice. But sad to say I don't think I'll be reading the rest of books, I can't do that to myself.

The best laid plans don't always go as planned......

Warningโฆโฆ.This is a contemporary romance with mature themes, language, and situations. Readers should be over 17! What did I like? This was a well-constructed story that really had me from page one. The mystery of the family secret was well hidden and sure kept me guessing. The characters were fascinating and well developed. My favorite was Logan, he was the perfect catch for Ellie and I wanted so much to see everything work out for them. I liked the side distractions that kept cropping up and was rooting for all of the action that was taking place. What are you going to like? The first thing will be the storyline. You can tell that the author put lots of thought into the method and the action. The characters will be the next thing that will win you over. All of them are well developed and each makes the story work to perfection. The last thing that will capture your heart will be the ending. I know that it did mine and I just canโt wait till book two which is already out, Reckless Longing, with the final book being Reckless Together.

Finding A Way To Move On
This was a pretty good book and start to a series. Elizabeth Martin transfers to a college her second year in to get away from home, heartbreak, and to find her biological father. Her first year in college, she wasn't far from home but she was betrayed by people she was supposed to trust and love her. Her mother was always younger and more beautiful than most of the mothers. She had Ellie pretty young and she wasn't particularly loving. She competed with Ellie for most things so Ellie didn't want to compete so she stayed "plain" for that. She came home to do laundry one day and walked in with her stepfather to find her mother having sex with her boyfriend. She was heartbroken and destroyed by it. Her first new college experiences she runs in and meets Logan Walker. He's gorgeous and she's drawn to him. Ellie is a wonderful girl who never knew who her father was and a mother that didn't treat her very well. There was constant competition and her mother always made her feel small. She was really well adjusted considering that and she's responsible and kind. Her mother married 3 different men but they never hung around long and they weren't that great. She never felt pretty especially compared to her mother. Her coloring and alot of her looks do not come from her mother. She finally found out who her father possibly was so she looked for him and found him as the head of a department at the college so she transfers to find him. She doesn't want another relationship considering things but she's so attracted and drawn to Logan. Logan is gorgeous and smart but he has dark secrets. He used to play Pitcher at baseball but he tore something and he will never be able to play. His younger brother succeeded and plays professional baseball. His mother is really good to him and his brother but his father has made him feel like he can never compare to his brother. While he was dealing with his heartbreak about baseball something else terrible and destructive happened to him. It was horrible and he had no control of it. It sent him over the edge of drinking heavily, doing drugs, and sleeping around. He's had no interest in a relationship until Ellie walks into his life. He wants her but he doesn't feel like he can be with her considering his secrets and past. Worth reading.

Good read!
I thought this book was really good. It was a nice read. It didn't feel too long and there was enough going on to keep you going. You feel so hopeful for the 2 main characters after they meet. I think the author touched a hard subject in a good way. The way the author ended this book made me want to read the second and third one. Can't wait to see where the characters go in the second book!

Hot Damn This Was Amazing
What an incredible story the author has written. Ellie had quite the life and mother. Logan was such a sweet loving man. I could feel every motion Ellie was going through and the anger Logan lived with. The characters relationship with their parents is something that happens more often than not in real and I for one am more than happy to read about it in a book as not all relationships are happy go lucky ones. I'm anxious to read more about Ellie, Logan and Jason...see where it will all ends.

Excellent work
The book keeps you attached and keep you curious about what will happen next. A friendly warning to the readers. The book is so addictive tht you will not stop with this first series you will go for the other two as well and after reading the third book till end you will find your peace. The topic of male rape victim is very neatly bought in without hurting sentiment of any...a g8 book Keep reading

Good light read
I enjoyed this book. It had a good plot line and the characters were well developed and interesting. I think it should have been wrapped up in the one book and i think dragging it out into a series could make the next books questionable, but I'm hoping to be proved wrong when I read them.
