Q: Does this work on acrylic nails?

BFB's Czech Glass Nail Files are suitable for use with both natural and artificial nails, however when filing artificial nails it is recommended that the file is dipped in water before and periodically during use.

Q: I use the emery board nail files but they wear out quickly. Do your glass nail files wear out quickly as well?

Not at all. Love it. I read some feedbacks stating to be sure to always file in one direction which is pretty standard, but very important for this files use. I don't think you will be disappointed for the price. Will last a lot longer than the emery boards which I also have a large variety supply and will still use for certain types of care.

It is gentle on the natural nails and is the optimum grit for regular, long-term use. Unfortunately, this is the finest grit we offer in terms of Medium Manicure Nail Files. It's main function is to file and shape the nail. The grit seems to suit the general `bell-curve' of nails, however, if you are finding it too harsh, we recommend wetting the file by dipping it in water or rinsing it, to `dull' it slightly.Also, we offer Baby Nail Files which have a very fine grit:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B5VJTW2?th=1Even though these are `Baby Nail Files' they are great for adult use, if you don't mind the cute designs. They also come in protective silver plastic hard cases, so you can easily store one in your Guitar Bag incase you need to fix a jagged nail prior to a gig.You can also investigate a soft buffer block (there are many good quality ones available on Amazon or Walmart) for the purpose of Buffing & Polishing the nail.
