Great product!!
This is a great product! I use it on my bikini area right after I shave and I have NOT had an ingrown hair since I started using it. I recommend using it immediately after shaving and once a day for the first 3 days or so. The use it every so often depending on how often you shave, how thick your hair is and how prone you are to getting ingrown hairs.

USED AND EXPIRED PRODUCT!
This product is EXPIRED, which must be why the card board box is torn off where the expiration date is. This is USED!! It’s not full, it’s the wrong consistency, there is “cream” in the lid even with the “safety” piece in it. And it’s half empty!!! I can not believe this!

So far so good... EXACT same as the Gold
I'm definitely prone to ingrown hairs especially around the bikini area. I've tried several products (tend skin, PFB Vanish, Anthony Logistics), and so far this one seems to be working the best. Most products are alcohol based so they tend to just exfoliate off the top layer of the skin, which works ok on ingrowns that are close to the surface. But mine are usually ingrown down to the root, so those products don't do much except dry out my skin. I've gone through one tub of the bikini saver and so far, my ingrowns seems more sparse and go away faster, and the bad ones that break the skin seem to heal faster (tea tree is a natural antiseptic). I didn't use it as diligently as I should have, so I will repurchase and keep using it and hopefully it will just get better.Just a note - Hovan's has 2 products: "Medi-Cream/Bikini Saver" and then "Gold" - I scoured the internet with no luck to try and find out if there was a difference between the products because they're the same size, and seem to have the exact same ingredients, but the "Gold" is $10-15 bucks more. I emailed Hovan's direct and was told they actually ARE the exact same product - the Gold is more expensive just because of the packaging - which they claim sells better in salons. So save some money and just buy the white tub product, not the gold.**Update, been a couple months now and I would say overall I have a lot less ingrowns - it's no miracle worker, I still get them but definitely fewer and they seem to heal faster. Still my favorite product for this so far.

Seems to work
I've had really bad ingrown hairs for a while now, and I have been trying everything to get rid of them, and so of course I tried this out. This stuff smells a little bit- but I don't care as long as it does the job- which it seems to do. I've seen improvement so far (used it for a week). The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because you get the smallest amount! Even the container curves inside so it looks like it has more in it than it really does. And if you are prone to difficult hair like I am, then you're gonna need more than that.

Love it!! One little caveat...
I give this product 5-stars because it really does do what it says. It removes/prevents ingrown hairs. I haven't used it daily as I should have from the beginning until this past weekend. I'm on day 4 and wow I've already noticed a reduction in ingrowns. I'm really hoping after day 15 I will be ingrown hair free (as it advertises). I scored the internet for the one little caveat I'm about to mention and only found one person who said the same as me. After a couple days of use, I notice my skin starts to itch. The only explanation I can think of (as this other person says) is that I have sensitive skin. I use this in my bikini area, but I suffer from eczema on my arms, so I guess I have been blessed/cursed(?) with sensitive skin...ultimately though, the itch is not so irritating that I don't like this product. I like that it is made of natural ingredients. If you buy, you will not be disappointed.**As a side note, I tried Tend Skin and it did not work for me. It smelled like rubbing alcohol (which I think is the main ingredient, but I can't remember) and all it seemed to do was clean my skin. Saw no reduction in ingrowns. I would recommend Hovan's to everyone!

mehh...
To get a little personal...I didn't have any major issues that inspired this purchase, but I like to make sure all parts are well taken care of so I thought I would give it a try. First, it smells kind of funky. It has a weird old grandma medicine smell to it. Second, the yellow color doesn't rub in all the way. If you wipe your hands on a towel or get it on your clothes, they also get temporarily stained that weird yellow color. Third, I didn't see any benefits from using it. IMHO it seems like there are a lot of other significantly cheaper products on the market that are better.

Works well
I use an Epilator and I get ingrown hairs on my legs. So much that I stopped epilating. I hated shaving almost daily, which I only have to do every so often with epilating. So I went back to epilating and the ingrown hairs were again awful. Decided to give this a try, along with very regular exfoliating. For me, the combination of the two is working very well. I still get ingrown hairs, but many fewer and they heal quickly with this. I think that with this product and exfoliating that I have found a way to continue epilating away that terrible body hair.

So glad I found Bikini Saver again!!
I was introduced to Bikini Saver when I used to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed while I was in college. The combo of the hot wax and the trauma of having the hair forcibly removed made my skin very angry and I would almost always develop hives or welts afterwards. Bikini Saver always calmed my skin down in both areas! I had bought a few jars and when the salon I was using no longer was in business, I kind of forgot about Bikini Saver. Fast forward 15 years where I was then married and thus became pregnant. I happened to read the fine print on the serum I was currently using after shaving, BP Vanish, which read that the product should not be used while pregnant or nursing. Well, there goes about two years of my life, so that bottle was thrown out. I was in need of something safe and effective... and the search for Bikini Saver was on!I have fallen in love with Bikini Saver all over again and am so glad that it can be purchased on Amazon instead of in a salon.
