I had a similar product that used a USB charger. It never worked well and was too small to handle chip bags easily. This unit's length allows for sealing one side and then the other securely. I prefer a plug-in unit. It heats quickly - usually around 30 seconds or less. I like how the buttons are on the outside unlike other units where the button is on the inside and could cause a potential burn if not carefully handled. Here are some additional tips the company provided to me: 1. You should let it rest for a couple minutes between sealing to prevent overheating. 2. This should not be used on very thin plastic bags - like the kind used for Quaker Rice Cakes for example. It could melt the plastic instead of sealing. Just watch that the plastic does not start to shrink as the heat is applied. 3. The company instead recommends that it is good for potato chip packaging bags, vacuum packaging bags, snack bags, pet foods bags, coated aluminum foil bags, and handmade candy dessert plastic bags etc. 4. Do not use (of course, common sense comes into play here) on paper bags, bags with oil, liquid. The product works well and was easy to use. The bags can also be resealed (again, like chip bags) without damaging the bag. Also note that do not keep the unit in the closed position when it is heating (again, to prevent overheating) or for that matter when it is cooling. Best to leave it in the open position until you are ready to put it away. Satisfied. And would recommend. Any questions and concerns or problems were quickly handled by the company.

This seemed like s pretty good option for sealing cookie bags. I only bake on holidays so I opted to try this out instead of dish out a ton of cash for a more commercial grade sealer. It arrived in decent looking condition. I read the instructions and plugged in it but, when it came to sealing, it didn’t work. I attempted 4 times and the bags would be warm to touch with minimal crinkling but, somehow not at all sealed. I wondered if I received a defective sealer. So unfortunately, I had to return it. Maybe the next one will work.

I really had some doubts about this product because it was so reasonable; it's awesome!! I find my self taking it out and showing it to other people because it does such a great job and is easy to use!!

This bag sealer heats up really fast. It is easy to use but the one thing I did not like was I was not able to use it to reseal any plastic bag such as chip bags, or shopping bags etc. It does work on shopping bags somewhat, but had to be gone over the area to be sealed many times. Sometimes the area would be sealed and other times it would be melted or not sealed at all.

Keep in mind this is very small barrel, and it must not get very hot because I have to leave it on my packaging a VERY long time for them to seal. Too much time in my opinion. That being said, if you put in the time and have small packages to seal, it will work. I would not purchase again.

Mostly a waste of money. It only seals a strip about 2 inches long, and not very well. Trying to seal multiple times to get more than a few inches of seal just does not work where you have to seal over top of an existing seal.

I bake on the side for my friends and co-workers and have always used twist ties for my goodies. I decided to try this as sometimes the bags get too bunched at the top or they are too big, but you can't use a smaller bag. This is perfect and it really looks professional when you are done. It does take a few tries to get it right. I will still use the twist ties for some goodies, but for cookies, this is the way to go. Plus it is easier to stick an ingredient sticker on the back if need be.

This product is awesome. Not only does it work well, but when I had to return the first one I got that wasn’t quite working the way I wanted it to, I received a new one within 18 hours. Awesome product and outstanding customer service. The new one works PERFECT!!!!

It’s not working! Can you return my money and I will return this to you. I tried Several times and waited longer but still didnt work. Or send me a new one. It’s not heating up. I can honestly put my finger in there and wont get hurt.

Hermoso! Esperaba un poco más amplia el área de sellado, pero funciona para el tamaño de bolsas que manejo en repostería. Y si son un poco más grande, sólo lo volteo y listo. Cierra sin quemar la bolsa, me encantó el detalle de las líneas, se ve muy profesional!

Tarda mucho para funcionar y que selle no cumplió mis expectativas

Esta muy padre. Funciona bien, si la bolsa es muy grande pues tienes que sellar por un lado y luego del otro. Pero esta bastante bien, y muy bonita. El color divino.
