Q: Am I better off to go with a travel pillow that doesn't force me to keep my head upright? I tend to bob forward and/or try to side sleep.

You can use this travel pillow if you tuck the bolsters under you chin - as much as you are able - so the head is supported when it nods forward. You can use the eye mask with its elastic wrapped around the pillow to keep it in this position. I have tried it and it works pretty well - both if the head falls to the side or nods forward.

Q: Does it fit for 10 year old kid?

I think it would. If the space between the bolsters it too wide just twist the fabric and it will be snugger. We also have a new pillow with a different design that gives you a more snug fit and your son may prefer this - it is called SkySiesta SNUG - also available on Amazon. Q: Will this fit in a standard size carry on?

The pillow dimensions when banded together are: 8 inches x 8 inches. So yes, it would certainly fit inside a standard carry-on - unless the carry-on is very full. In that case the pillow, packed in its nylon bag, can be strapped outside to the handle. Hope that helps.Kalpana GilroySkySiesta

Q: Is there any way to secure it to a car seat?
