DecoArt DS50-10 Glow-in-The-Dark Paint, 4-Ounce, 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

Very Bright and charges up instantly w bright light. Dries like paint in a few minutes. Only downfall is that the glow doesnt last long. But i find that putting this on things that GITD already and it will intensify and work the best. More layers u add the stronger the brightness works. Overall its a good product for the price.

This paint definitely Glows in the dark. I have purchased other paints that claimed to glow in the dark, only to have wasted my money. I have used this paint on several projects, with wonderful results. I did a small constellation project on my bedroom ceiling using DecoArt paint last October. Here we are in March 2015 and every night when I turn out my lights, I still have twinkling replicas of stars on my ceiling. A small amount of paint goes a long way. I highly recommend this product.

My son needed this for a school project. It worked out, but we had to figure out a few things not to do first. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is they really should have made some of this clear in the instructions. This paint is very water and absorbs into paper easily. You will want to put down a backing paint (match it to the color of whatever you are painting on. We put down white paint on a white poster board) and then apply the glow-in-the-dark paint on top of that. If you do it that way, it will do a pretty good job of glowing in the dark. If you don't do the backing paint it will seem really faint because so much of it gets absorbed. The paint holds the light pretty well and continues to be visible in the dark a couple of hours after exposure to light. Its pretty good if used right, but you have to do trial and error (or read some reviews) to know that.

This product does not glow in the dark at all. Maybe I'm missing something. I don't know if I'm supposed to put it under a light before using it, but I didn't. Needless to say I am quite disappointed as I spent quite some time stenciling stars on my boys bedroom walls hoping to surprise them, but there was no surprise for them at all. What a dud!

This product REALLY WORKS. I used to buy from GloNation which went out of business and was afraid to try a different product, but this one really works WITHOUT ANY BLACKLIGHT. I used them for my outdoor skeletons and the sunlight really charged up the product. Granted it didnt glow all night but enough for people to see for a few hours after dusk. The thicker you make the product, the more glow you get.

First let me compliment Amazon, the top broke on this product during shipment and Amazon sent me out another bottle immediately. It is very easy to use, good consistency. It is NOT florescent green in color like you might expect. I tried another brand which I just happened to come across in my house... and it LOOKS like it will glow in the dark. I even tried the cap in the bathroom and it did glow. HOWEVER, if your painted surface doesn't get enough light, you will not get the glow effect at all. If you have a lamp nearby the painted surface, if you turn that on for a few minutes before lights out, you may have better results. I even tried to paint the on and off switch for the light.

Compared to other glow-in-the-dark paints, this paint is pretty smooth & easy to apply. You'll need more coats to get a stronger glow, but IMO this makes it a lot easier to control & you don't end up with big chunky areas. Good value. No chunks or chalky bits either.

I was worried about it not glowing, but it works amazingly! I used it to paint stars in my daughter's room. The glow lasts a long time and it works so well. It did need multiple coats to shine brightly.
