Lippincott's Illustrated Q&A Review of Biochemistry (Lippincott Illustrated Reviews Series)

For the Biochemistry NBME exam, this book helped me more than any other resource during the few days prior to the test. It is mostly clinical vignette-style questions, which are VERY similar to what I saw on test day (with the exception that a few pages use color pictures, which the NBME doesn't have). My medical school's biochem faculty highly recommended it, and many of my classmates agree that this book was indispensible. The questions it asks are well beyond the scope of what we learned in our course lectures (many diseases were referenced that I had never heard of!), and so it really allowed me to get a good idea of where I stood, and got me up to speed on unfamiliar material fast. Don't be surprised if a lot of the questions in this book completely stump you. That might discourage you (it did me), but it means you can learn a lot from it! The answers to the questions are explained so well, I hardly needed to consult reference material as I studied this book.

I'm in grad school and had to take Biochemistry and I have limited background in chemistry. Thank GOD for this supplement, I passed with an A!

It was a used book with lots of markings, but can’t really complain as it is a pretty old book. Price is great with good questions for topical practice

Very helpful for Biochemistry Students. I love the fact that the seller live up to it's promised, the book was nicely Packed, New and Spotless. I would definitely recommend this book to Biochemistry Students and curios Science Minds :)

Great condition

I what is so nice about this book is that some of the questions show up on course examinations so it really helps prepare for those and the questions make you think. Worth the $$ especially for the electronic version (while it is kinda difficult to switch between pages quickly using bookmarks but it's doable) so it is super easy to carry around! Recommend the purchase. Especially if you've never had a biochem course and are now in med school/grad school with it.
