Just do it!
Got this for my husband because he needed a new reel, The casting is smooth like butter! It was a great price as well, the size and weight are perfect for the new pole he also got and he really like the green and black it looks great on his new green fishing pole! It definitely out performs his old reel the we spent close to $60 bucks on. Will definitely order from here again when needed.

Nice reel with a low price.
Just got thus reel and gave it a good lookover today. Nice looking reel and quality seems pretty good. I filled the spool with 6lb mono for Crappie fishing and took some tests cast outside. For a small spool ( I bought the 1000 size) it casts well . The drag seems smooth and fairly strong also. Noticed two minor issues with the reel . Mine seemed to stack a little more line at the rear of the spool . I was able to fix this quickly by just removing the nylon washer under the two bearings beneath the spool. now line stacks nice and even. Also the tab on the spool base to hold the line on the spool when not in use is to tight to insert the 6lb mono under. This I took care of with a rubber band. I would have rated it 5 stars if not for these two minor issues. Overall seems like a nice compact spinning reel. I will add to the review after I get a chance to fish it.

Great value for the $
This is a great reel for the price. After a couple outings walleye fishing heavy currents, this reel gets a high rating from me. It spins freely and very smooth, no sticky spots or weird feeling. The frame is a composite material but seems very strong and has no flex. The anti-reverse is instant with no play. I appreciate the braid ready spool, it was spooled with 15lb powerpro braid. It took no time at all to spool it with the very fast 6.2:1 retrieval rate. Drag was smooth and easy to make little adjustments. The bail is heavy gauge wire and clicks into place very reassuringly, this is a HUGE plus in my book. I drug in half a dozen walleye and another dozen suckers with no issues at all. The reel was even completely submerged for a bit and worked flawlessly after. This is a great reel at a very reasonable price.

nice spinning rod but a ton of flex in the arm.
I love how smooth this reel is. the parts are well made but the issue I have is with the connecting arm. the body is a plastic and there is a TON of flex between the reel and rod when you really give it some effort with a snag or pulling something in quick. It ruins the feel of the system working together and I wasn't a fan of having the reel all loosey goosey when trying to bring it home. The drag was okay but I couldn't tell if it was flex or the queality of the washers. I have a few Sougayilang spinning reels and this is by far the least impressive.

Can't beat it for the price
Landed this bass with this reel and a medium heavy rod with some 40lb braid and a scum frog. This fish crushed the frog and this reel had no problems yanking him to the bank. Higher gear ratio was nice and made the fight very quick and manageable. It has a smooth cast, smooth reel, sturdy feel to the bail. For under 30 bucks it's amazing! Feels like a much higher end reel and I've already recommended it to my jealous fishing buddy🙂 well worth the money!

Terrible waste of money
I recieved my 8 - 4000 sized reels. My intent was to do a total replacement with new reels. First impressions were good. Aesthetically pleasing, fast at 6+ gear ratio, light, and well balance on my high end rods. I started spooling the first reel and notice that a keeper screw for the main shaft nut was completey stripped, and cross threaded to boot. I checked all. 5 of 8 the heads of the screw was stripped. Obviously no Quality Control. I should have stopped there...1) Next, while spooling the first reel, I noticed that with any pressure, while reeling, the crank had a very jerky tension to it. You have to let up. for fishing, it will be nothing more than a line retriever, and all power will come from pumping the rod. this reel has zero power, before the gears want to eat themselves up. I should have stopped, but new things are fun.2) By the third reel, I realized this was what you get, it wasnt a fluke. Additionally the third reel must have a slight bend in the shaft, because at one point about every 6 turns, it gets very hard to reel, even with no line pressure at all. The main shaft is very thin diameter, like less than 1/8" perhaps? It is of poor quality, and obviously not tempered. and NOT stainless.3) Im stopping at 3, with over 900 yards of 20 lb Power Pro invested. The metals on these reels will not hold up to freezing environments, let alone salt. No way should these be considered a salt water investment. If i can save my line (its worth much more than these reels), I will return this product. Very Very dissapointed. They are not worth $5, let alone $30.
