Better than chlorine bleach
With chlorine bleach having become so expensive, and often scarce, since the beginning of the pandemic and, more recently, the hacking of the Clorox Company that disrupted their manufacturing and strained the entire industry (along with Clorox's apparent refusal to pay ransom to the hackers), I decided to try Seventh Generation's hydrogen peroxide bleach. I like it better than chlorine bleach. My whites get whiter. And I can wash my loads of whites in COLD water now, rather than HOT, because I no longer need to use hot water (plus an extra rinse cycle) to fully eliminate that tenacious chlorine smell. So, win/win. (A long time ago, I used another oxygen bleach, Snowy bleach, for many years, first as a powder and then eventually as a liquid. But it hasn't been available for decades. I only resorted to chlorine bleach after washing machines started incorporating automatic dispensers for bleach and fabric softener.)

This is hydrogen peroxide, it always has been, so why is it now impossible to find?
Non-chlorine โbleachโ is not really bleach at all. Perhaps some people are not aware that this is just hydrogen peroxide in a different bottle. This, for me is the point, as hydrogen peroxide does a pretty good job of whitening and deodorizing, but is not nearly as toxic, I mean you can use it on your skin (In small doses). Itโs also better for the environment. My theory is that when Covid hit and there was a shortage of bleach, people used this and now the company that makes nearly all of the chlorine bleach has monopolized the market so that itโs impossible to find at a good price. Iโm sorry, itโs a pet peeve of mine, when companies that make toxic products inhibit you from getting the less toxic product. Iโve resorted to using the little bottles for my laundry. Iโll get this because itโs finally available, but much too expensive, it used to be so much cheaper. Itโs basically just water with an extra Oxygen atom for gosh sakes. Okay, rant done !; 0 ) Thanks.

My go to bleach alternative that works just as well.
Since regular bleach is way too intense for me, this alternative keeps my whites clean and I can breathe well while using it. It keeps my whites nice and bright. The value for how much you get makes it worthwhile. It is easy to use to spot treat stubborn stains or just adding a half a cup to a load of my whites does the trick. I just wish Target and Amazon still had this product available for delivery to make my life easier but so goes life.

Effective if overpriced compared to generic hydrogen peroxide
It's basically a slightly more expensive bottle of hydrogen peroxide. I am a huge fan of Seventh Generation products, and we use them in every room of our house, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this product except for the fact that it was more expensive than a generic jug of hydrogen peroxide. One thing is that you can always count on good quality from Seventh Generation, and I've had gallons of hydrogen peroxide that claimed to be 3% but had to be closer to 1% before. This product seems perfectly fine. Hydrogen peroxide works really well to keep blacks black and colors bright for us, and so of course this is doing the job just fine. It's also great for removing musty odors or body odors from clothes. Not only does it work better than chlorine bleach for us, but it breaks down into oxygen and water per my naive understanding of chemistry, so it's easier on the planet.

But I am almost done with my first bottle and I am very happy with it
I use this product with Puracy Natural Liquid Laundry Detergent. I do not have stains on my clothes so I can not speak on the stain removing part. My solution to stain removal is the trash can. But I am almost done with my first bottle and I am very happy with it. My clothes do not smell, I feel and notice the difference from using this product and Puracy together compared to Tide, and other commercial store-band products. I am on here because I am about to order another bottle. Keep in mind, people will always have slightly different results. We all use different washers/dryers, have different quality in our tap water and clothes we wear. Some smoke, some don't. Don't expect your world to change off one product. It's about finding a balance. And for me, this product and Puracy together, works awesome. Side note; I do add 2-3 dryer sheets when drying.

Not Very Effective In It's Mission...
I use a fair number of Seventh Generation products like the wipes, laundry detergent, and the laundry spray. I find them all very effective and useful. This one, however, doesn't seem to work all that well. I am therefore bit puzzled by why it exists and what it is really supposed to do. The ingredients are basically hydrogen peroxide and some unknown "surfactants." According to Wikipedia, "Surfactants are compounds that lower the surface tension (or interfacial tension) between two liquids, between a gas and a liquid, or between a liquid and a solid. Surfactants may act as detergents, wetting agents, emulsifiers, foaming agents, or dispersants." So okay, if I just used straight hydrogen peroxide I would not get these "surfactants." But do they actually help to get my laundry cleaner and/or brighter without chlorine bleach? I don't really see much difference in my laundry and it definitely does not work as effectively as chlorine bleach. At the same time, it will not damage clothes like chlorine bleach can. I did buy another bottle just to test it further, but if I continue to see little results, I will just go back to not using it. And if I see better results with the new bottle, I will let you know. But so far this has been disappointing but I'm giving it 2.5 stars for now since it is not expensive and might be doing something that I am just not seeing yet.

This stuff is great!
With the Covid we are all trying to make sure things are safe and cleaner. What is nice about this product is that it dosen't smell like bleach, and does the job. You can even use it with delicates. I use to alot washing reusable Masks. You have a better clean alternative to plain bleach. I ordered here because at the time it was hard to get it in the stores...it was sold out. Now it is more available to everyone ....Great product...you need to try it.
