Sirius Signal C-1003 SOS LED Distress Signal - USCG Approved

Our marina mandated safety inspections for all boats that included flares. Two year old boat failed because flares were 3 years old. I still had 6 from the past two times I bought new ones (got 3 of them wet by over zealous spraying/washing). Now I just need to pop extra C batteries in. Will definitely save some money. This thing is so bright - very impressive. Feels very sturdy and is a breeze to use.

This is a much better option for me instead of worrying about flares. Seems to be well made and the strobe is super bright.

Great safety addition to the boat. Not worried about out of date flares. Packs easy in boat compartments. Appears to be very durable. Not sure on battery life, I hope I don't have to find out. Good value in my book.

Boight this to replace flares that seem to expire way to quickly. This device serves the purpose of conventional flares, without the fire risk, and it never expires. When you think of it, holding a lit ball of fire on the deck of a floating gas station is a bit risky, at best. This is a much better option, to me.

The Sirius Signal C-1003 SOS LED Distress Signal shipped fast with overnight shipping. Very durable and easy to operate. The light is extremely bright. I had flares in my boat that had expired. No brainer to get this battery operated flair. It will pay for itself by not having to purchase flares every time they expire. No danger in teaching my grandchildren how to use this. It seems every time I checked my flares they were expired or about to expire. Not anymore, with the Coast Guard approved Sirius Signal C-1003, expired flares are a thing of the past on my boat. I'm no longer anxious when the Coast Guard does a safety check on my vessel because the Sirius Signal never expires. I keep fresh batteries and I'm good to go. The size of the device makes it easy to stow, it doesn't take up much room. The device is super easy to use, and you can't beat the price. Quality and durability are about equal. Seems a great device. Tried it out at home and its very bright. (Hopefully I won't need it when on the water!) Thankfully regs have changed (in Tasmania, Australia) to allow an EVDS instead of flares - no more replacing them every 3 years. The Sirius unit was a good price and represents good value. (bit of no-brainer really to get one when your flares expire). Shipping/delivery was amazingly fast.

This device solves the expensive dilemma of replacing flares every four years and struggling to find a place to legally dispose of the expired pyrotechnics. It lasts much longer than flares and cartridges and does not present a hazard to the user when employed. Safer, less expensive, long duration and easy to use in an emergency. A win all around.
