Nice bed for my child - Storage plus
I looked at this bed for ages and also looked at similar bed at the stores. Why buy online versus in traditional store? .....Price difference was huge ($700 vs $1200). Delivery was a slow due to the whole CoVid-19 delivery issues. Was delivered exactly at the time they said (external shipping company). Although I am not a fan of instructions which have just pictures, we were able to put this together in 2hrs. Mainly due to trying to figure instructions. No instructions came regarding the drawers install and also nothing on the center support bar which we still have not installed. I don't see the info online either. The bed is sturdy and fortunately no cracks anywhere. My child loves it as she is able to put her stuff on the cubby headboard as well as storage drawers below the bed. Saves having to add another dresser in the room. I like this bed.

Nightmare to assemble but nice bed
Nightmare to assemble. Half the pieces weren't labeled, some were mislabeled, no drill holes or markers for a lot of the smaller screws, the slotted sections are a huge pain to get lined up correctly, and there are steps in the instructions that would make more sense in a different order. We had to take sections apart multiple times and assemble in a different order to get everything to fit. 4 hours later and we only have the frame built, haven't even started the drawers or trundle yet. I've assembled a LOT of furniture like this and have never had this much trouble. Also the foot board is very thin and the bed wobbles a bit; the foot board could really stand to be a few inches thicker. The style of the bed is really nice and the ash color is lovely. My son loves it. Just wish it was manufactured a little better.

Solid wood bed; good price
The full-sized bed with bookshelf headboard, three drawers, and a twin size trundle arrived today (free 2-day shipping) via FedEx in 5 individual boxes, all large and heavy. One of the boxes was damaged and cut open, but the contents did not appear damaged, so I accepted it. It took about an hour to unpackage everything, lay out the parts, and inventory them. The finish was still putting off a strong chemical smell, but it dissipated quickly. One of the boards for the drawer assembly was missing and another was duplicated; fortunately, both pieces were identical except for drill holes, so I was able to make do. The back piece of the headboard had some styrofoam residue stuck to it, which discolored the finish a little. This wasn't worth delaying the project, so I kept going. With all the parts laid out and organized by step, assembly was pretty easy. I'm pretty handy and have put together plenty of flat pack furniture - this job still took nearly 4 hours, even using power tools (use very low torque on the driver). I also took the time to glue all the dowels, which should help the bed last longer. Every connection point is also bolted or screwed together, so this thing is not falling apart! The instructions were not great (all illustration, no words) and that led to one error, which I didn't realize until the end - the board under the headboard that is mostly covered by the mattress was installed backwards, meaning the finish is a little rough. It's covered by the mattress, so no big deal. I don't like the exposed bolt heads on the side and top of the headboard - there should be some sort of plastic plug or even a sticker to cover it. I also don't like the way the upper and lower portions of the headboard connect - it looks unfinished. Overall, the bed looks good and all of the parts are solid wood, even the interiors of the drawers. The slats are metal. The bed seems very solid and I expect it to last my 13-year-old until they leave home for college. Bottom line, I've paid considerable more money for lower quality furniture at a traditional furniture showroom. I'll update this review in the future if needed.

As advertised. Pretty nice bed.
My 9 year old loves the bed. Took about 90 minutes to assemble by myself with a power drill for driving screws. It came well packaged and undamaged. Instructions were fairly good. Construction seems fairly good, but durability is still TBD. It is made of real wood, not particle board. It does need about a week to air out-the wood stain is fresh enough that the unit smells. I recommend the bed! The trundle rollers don't work well on deep pile carpet-they are too small in diameter.

Don't waste your money
So I bought this bed for my son to redo his room as a Christmas present. Yes, I am just now getting around to unboxing and putting everything together. Be ware the wood is rough! Directions were okay to follow, but with each piece there are white marks and/or streaks that will not wipe off. There are corners or angles that are not stained and show the bare wood. So now I am in the process of trying to find a color of paint or stain that will match so I can touch it up. The 3 drawers are literally held on by 2 screws and swayed in the middle to where I have to add 4 extra screws to secure the drawers and make the gap between the bed and drawers go away. The trundle had a knot in the wood that was cracked and completely fell apart and left a big hole in the wood. I had to take the wood pieces and glue them together to fill the hole and now have to paint/stain it. I bought a full size mattress to go in the bed and couldn't get it to fit down into the frame of the bed, it rests on the side-rails. When my son laid on it, just today, I heard a crack in the wood and have NO idea where it came from or what piece cracked. Anyway, if I hadn't waited so long or hadn't already put this together, I'd send it back in a heartbeat. I purchased the matching dresser and if I had to do it all over again, I'd return both pieces.
